Ontario is investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople, upgrading apprenticeship training facilities across the Greater Toronto Area so the tools workers train on match the tools they'll use on the job.

This $1.75 million investment modernizes training centres and equips apprentices with hands-on experience on industry-current equipment, building a workforce ready for today's job sites from day one.

Apprentices in Northern Ontario should not have to travel hours just to write their exams.

Apprentices are up to 16% more likely to pass their exams as soon as they complete their training.

That’s why the new exam testing centre in Kenora will help remove costly and time-consuming barriers for apprentices, while supporting the beginning of their careers in the skilled trades.
