Yesterday was Toronto Fire Servicesā busiest operational day in 22 years.
Over a 24-hour period, our crews responded to 1,435 incidents across the city, with the majority of calls coming in between 5ā10 p.m.
That included:
š„ 403 fire suppression incidents
ā ļø 334 hazard incidents
š 60 rescue incidents
Behind every response were the dedicated call-takers and dispatchers in our Communications Centre, managing an incredible volume of calls and coordinating resources across the City.
To our firefighters, dispatchers, call takers ā thank you for your professionalism, dedication and teamwork when Toronto needed you most.
And to our partners at Toronto Police Service, Toronto Paramedic Services, Toronto Transit Commission, Toronto Hydro and Toronto Emergency Management and all those who worked alongside us ā thank you for your continued collaboration.
This is what teamwork looks like when it matters most.
