On , I’d like to recognize 211 Ontario, an Ontario Corps partner providing 24/7 non-urgent information and referral support across the province.

During this summer’s wildland fire response, 211 Ontario personnel provided approximately 342 hours of support, responding to 277 non-urgent wildfire inquiries.

By directing non-urgent inquiries to the right information and services, 211 Ontario helps keep emergency lines available for urgent situations. Thank you to the team for helping keep Ontarians informed, connected and supported when emergencies happen.

It was a great opportunity to connect with older adults in the community, chat about the services and supports available through 211, and learn more about the other organizations serving seniors in West Lincoln.

Thanks to the Township of West Lincoln for having us and for bringing so many community resources together in one place!
