The Rainbow Coalition of Waterloo Region is excited to share an open Request for Proposals (RFP) for Collaborative Event Coordinator Services!

This two‑year contract opportunity invites individuals, grassroots groups, community organizations, and non‑profits to partner with us in delivering the Community Connection Project: Strengthening Regional 2SLGBTQIA+ Leadership & Belonging.

The Event Coordinator will help weave together relationships across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and our rural townships, supporting 18 co‑designed community engagements across three program streams focused on dialogue, leadership, and whole‑community gatherings.

Removing systemic barriers with respect to sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, including confronting hate, is crucial to creating a better future for all Canadians.

Up to $41.5 million is being invested in 106 projects to support community-informed projects dealing with key issues faced by 2SLGBTQI+ communities, and to undertake community-led research initiatives.
