13 June 2026 - Ambassador Pablito A. Mendoza and the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen joined Filipinos across Denmark in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence.

Organized by ๐˜๐˜๐˜“-๐˜Š๐˜–๐˜” ๐˜‹๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ, together with various Filipino Community organizations as part of the month-long Philippine Culture Month Celebration, the event featured cultural performances, OPM music, Filipiniana fashion, and Filipino food, bringing together Filipinos from across Denmark in a spirit of unity, pride, and community.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joins the Filipino people in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.

In his message, the President calls on Filipinos to draw inspiration from the nationโ€™s heroes and work together in advancing the common good. He likewise expresses hope that the occasion will deepen the peopleโ€™s understanding of the past and inspire a renewed sense of duty to the country as the nation continues building a Bagong Pilipinas โ€œworthy of the sacrifices that secured our sovereignty and of the dreams and aspirations that gave birth to our Republic.โ€

Mendoza and the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy joined the FilCom in Copenhagen in the opening of the Filipino Faith and Culture Month at ๐˜‘๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ถ ๐˜๐˜ซ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜’๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฆ (Sacred Heart of Jesus Church), marking the start of month-long celebration of Filipino heritage, faith, and community solidarity in Copenhagen, Denmark.

โ€œThe strength of the Filipino spirit is rooted in faith, family, service, and ๐˜ฃ๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ,โ€ said Ambassador Mendoza in his remarks, emphasizing that these values continue to unite Filipinos abroad and strengthen their sense of community.

The month-long celebration commenced with a Mass celebrated by Fr. Ariel Stephen Maria Bejo, a Filipino Parish Priest at Jesu Hjerte Kirke.
