STRENGTHENING MEDICAL SUPPLY CHAINS, STRESTRENGTHENING HEALTH CARE FOR ALL FIJIANS.

A resilient health system depends on a reliable and efficient medical supply chain. From essential medicines and medical consumables to life-saving equipment, every item must reach the right facility, at the right time, and in the right condition.

The Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji remains committed to strengthening procurement, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management systems to ensure that healthcare workers have the resources they need to provide quality care to every Fijian.

Improving supply chains is not just about moving products—it is about saving lives, supporting frontline healthcare workers, reducing stock shortages, and ensuring equitable access to health services across our islands.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, more responsive, and more resilient healthcare system for Fiji.

INVESTING IN OUR LITTLE CHAMPIONS

It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Robert Oliver, MNZM, the founder and host of the famous Pacific Island Food Revolution a television celebrity chef at the Pacific School Food Talanoa held today at Crowne Plaza Resort, Nadi, Fiji 🇫🇯

We shared a meaningful exchange on the importance of investing in our greatest asset, our children. Through a Pacific centered school food approach, we can nourish healthier generations, strengthen local food systems, celebrate our traditional foods, and build a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

As Pacific nations, we must continue working together to ensure that healthy, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food is at the heart of every school and every community.

Our little champions deserve nothing less.

Honoured to participate in the roundtable discussion on the margin of WHA79 side event, “From Resolution to Implementation: Shaping the Future of Global Stroke Care.”

"The historic World Health Assembly Resolution on Stroke is more than a policy document, it is a call to action. As Pacific nations continue to face a growing burden of non-communicable diseases, we must strengthen stroke prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term care.

Fiji stands ready to work with global partners to turn this resolution into real health outcomes for our people.

Together, from resolution to implementation, we can save lives and build healthier communities."

✅ Passports (Amendment) Bill 2026 Passed ✅ 28th May 2026

Today, Parliament has passed the Passports (Amendment) Bill 2026, an important milestone in modernising Fiji’s travel document framework and strengthening the administration of official travel documentation.

The amendment renames the Passports Act 2002 to the Travel Documents Act 2002, establishing a more comprehensive legal framework covering all official travel documents issued by the Ministry of Immigration, including:

• Fiji passports — ordinary, emergency, diplomatic and official
• Certificates of identity
• Refugee travel documents

The new legislation ensures our laws properly reflect the full range of travel documents issued by Government while improving their administration, management, and integrity in line with modern requirements.
