That moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived…. Blue skies and sunshine ☀️ and it’s even better because it’s a Bank Holiday weekend. Turton Tower and the Woodland Cafe will be open all weekend including Monday so why not pay us a visit.

🖇️ We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to support the operation, engagement, and development of Turton Tower Grade I listed museum and heritage site. You will be working with communities, schools, partners, and volunteers, and will play a key role in widening access, enhancing the visitor experience, and supporting the Tower’s long‑term sustainability.

We are looking for someone passionate to:

Lead the school’s engagement and learning offer at Turton Tower
Co‑ordinate and support the volunteer team
Use knowledge and experience of heritage, conservation, or collections standards to ensure appropriate care of the building and its collections
Apply visitor services experience to support the day‑to‑day running of the site
Ensure the site is safe, welcoming, and well managed for all visitors
Undertake weekend working and duty management of the site as part of the role

It was an absolutely fabulous day yesterday at the Tower. Everything was perfect as James and Stefano celebrated their marriage with family and friends. Congratulations to the happy couple on becoming husband and husband, we wish you both health and happiness. 💕🥂
