KNO strongly condemns the Burmese military terrorists for bombing a crowded market in Kyauktaw, Arakanland. This barbaric act constitutes a crime against humanity and a war crime.

Dozens of civilians killed as Myanmar military bombs Rakhine’s Kyauktaw

Thirty-three civilians were killed and 36 injured when a Myanmar regime airstrike targeted a market and nearby areas in Kyauktaw town, which is under the control of the Arakan Army (AA) in Rakhine State, at noon on Monday, according to Wai Hin Aung, a prominent ethnic Rakhine writer and aid worker.
Wai Hin Aung said those killed are still being identified.
A regime fighter jet twice bombed Kyauktaw's Kissapanadi (Kaladan) Bridge and nearby areas, as well as the Indian market.
The AA also reported that a regime fighter jet bombed Thandwe’s famed Ngapali Beach on Monday afternoon. There were no casualties, Wai Hin Aung said.
The AA took control of most of Rakhine, including Kyauktaw and Thandwe, in 2024. The regime frequently bombs AA-controlled areas in the state.
