Meet Dimitar Dimitrov, one of our 2026–2027 Everyone Active Sporting Champions representing Abbey Leisure Centre in Table Tennis.

Dimitar is one of England's most talented young table tennis players, consistently achieving success at both national and international level. Through dedication, discipline and a relentless work ethic, he has earned podium finishes across Europe and continues to establish himself as one of the sport's rising stars.

🏓 Winner of Four Star Tournaments in Grantham and London (U13)
🥈 Multiple podium finishes at Four Star Tournaments at U15 level

Meet Sytira Smith, one of our 2026–2027 Everyone Active Sporting Champions representing Abbey Leisure Centre.

Sytira is an elite basketball player who proudly represents the Basketball England National Team at U15 level. Through dedication, hard work and determination, she has earned recognition at major basketball showcases and secured opportunities to compete internationally, establishing herself as one of the UK's most promising young basketball talents.

🌟 WELCOME TO OUR 2026–2027 ABBEY LEISURE CENTRE SPORTING CHAMPIONS 🌟

We're delighted to announce our 7 Sporting Champions representing Abbey Leisure Centre as part of the Everyone Active Sporting Champions programme for 2026–2027.

This year's cohort showcases a fantastic range of talent across Swimming & Aquatics, Athletics, Racket Sports, Basketball, Judo and Touch Rugby. These athletes demonstrate dedication, resilience and ambition, and we are proud to support them as they continue striving towards their sporting goals.

The Sporting Champions programme helps aspiring athletes by providing access to facilities and support that enable them to train, compete and develop while inspiring others within our local community.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing each of our champions and sharing their achievements, aspirations and sporting journeys.

Our Reformer Studio's 1st Birthday celebration has been amazing! 🎂✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today, whether you took part in one of our Reformer taster sessions or enjoyed our free family swimming. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces returning, as well as welcoming new customers to the studio. 💙
