🚗 𝗜𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, with 70% of test centres fully booked for the next 24 weeks.

For young people trying to get to work, college or apprenticeships, delays like this can hold back opportunity and independence.

Fantastic turnout yesterday as members and supporters joined Richard Holden MP for our Transport: Growth & Delivery discussion.

We have already seen a strong number of responses to the Transport consultation, with ideas and practical experience being shared from across the country.

The discussion explored a range of themes and ideas on:
💬 Tackling driving test backlogs and examiner shortages
💬 Smarter road maintenance and the use of technology and AI
💬 Flexible local transport systems and connectivity
💬 Freight and logistics improvements
💬 Aviation workforce shortages and future skills needs

Strong themes and perspectives also emerged during the discussion, including:
📦 "Rail discussions always seem to be about passengers with freight as an afterthought. There needs to be a more integrated discussion in rail policy." Point by supporter

A strong session yesterday as supporters from across the country came together to share ideas and perspectives on welfare and disability with James Windsor-Clive and Angela Matthews 🤝

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
💡 How employers can be encouraged to support people with visible and hidden disabilities in the workplace;
🎓 What skills can be provided to young people to help them avoid falling into incapacity benefits.
💼 How welfare provision can be combined with skills development and promoting job opportunities.

𝗙𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
