1983 கருப்பு ஜூலையின் நினைவுகள் இன்னும் அழியவில்லை. நீதி, உண்மை மற்றும் பொறுப்புக்கூறல் குறித்த போராட்டமும் இன்னும் தொடர்கிறது.

The 'Black July' of 1983 was not merely a riot; it was a state-instigated, systematic act of genocide against Tamils.

Through the ethnic violence orchestrated by the Sri Lankan state and its apparatus, thousands of Tamils ​​were massacred, while others were forced to flee, losing their homes and livelihoods. At the same time, we also remember the working-class Sinhalese people who fought to protect Tamils.

For Tamils, 'Black July' is not just a reminder of unimaginable loss; it serves as a reminder of the systemic oppression that has persisted for decades, and underscores the urgent need for truth, justice, accountability, and a political solution that ensures the rights and dignity of the Tamil people.

We remember. We mourn. We will not forget.

The right to freedom of speech, the right to assembly
National rights of the Tamils should be allowed

These images are not just records of the past. They are unanswered questions that continue to haunt tens of thousands of Tamil families.

To the JVP and those who call themselves Marxists:

Where are these girls today?

That is the question you cannot avoid.

Who were the soldiers in these photographs?
Are they still serving in the Sri Lankan military?
What medals, promotions, and privileges have they received?
Who gave the orders?
Why are those responsible for war crimes still protected?

You cannot claim to stand for justice while remaining silent about the disappearance, torture, and killing of Tamil civilians.

You cannot speak of equality while refusing to confront Sinhala-Buddhist chauvinism and the system that enabled genocide.

The Tamil people have not forgotten.
The demand for truth, accountability, and national justice will continue until impunity is ended and all forms of oppression are defeated.

🕯️ Mullivaikkal Genocide Remembrance – London 2026

This year marks the 17th anniversary of the Mullivaikkal genocide, during which tens of thousands of Tamil civilians were massacred by the Sri Lankan state in May 2009.

To honour the memory of those who lost their lives, and to continue the struggle for justice, accountability, and the Tamil people's right to self-determination, Tamils around the world are coming together in remembrance and protest.

We invite everyone to join the Mullivaikkal remembrance protest in Parliament Square at 3pm

• Remember the victims of the Mullivaikkal genocide
• Demand justice and international accountability for the genocide of Tamils
• Stand in solidarity for the Tamil nation’s right to self-determination

Following the protest, please join the street political discussion organised by Tamil Solidarity.

🕯️ முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் இனப்படுகொலை நினைவேந்தல் – லண்டன் 2026

2009 மே மாதத்தில் முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் தமிழர் மீது நடத்தப்பட்ட இனப்படுகொலையின் 17ஆம் ஆண்டு நினைவேந்தல் இந்த ஆண்டு அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

இந்த நினைவை முன்னிட்டு, உலகெங்கும் வாழும் தமிழர்கள் தாங்கள் வாழும் நாடுகளில் ஒன்று கூடி, நீதிக்காகவும், நினைவுக்காகவும், தமிழர் தேசிய உரிமைக்காகவும் குரல் கொடுத்து வருகின்றனர்.

இந்நிலையில், லண்டனில் நடைபெறும் முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் நினைவேந்தல் மற்றும் கண்டன ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் அனைவரும் குடும்பத்துடன் கலந்து கொள்ளுமாறு அன்புடன் அழைக்கிறோம்.

பிரித்தானிய பிரதமர் அலுவலகம் முன்பாக நடைபெறும் இந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டு:

• முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் உயிர்நீத்த எம் மக்களை நினைவுகூர்வோம்
• தமிழர் மீது நடைபெற்ற கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட இனப்படுகொலைக்கு நீதிகோர்வோம்
• தமிழர் தேசிய தன்னாட்சி உரிமைக்காக ஒற்றுமையாக குரல் கொடுப்போம்
