Green Libraries Week is coming! 🌿

From Wednesday 21 October to Wednesday 28 October 2026, libraries across the UK will be celebrating Green Libraries Week, highlighting the important role libraries play in supporting climate awareness and sustainable communities.

This year's theme is:

Climate Facts for a Greener Future: Navigating Mis- and Disinformation in Libraries
Libraries can help people find trustworthy information, develop critical thinking skills, and make informed choices about climate issues.

Keep an eye out for book displays at all four of our libraries: Burnham, Maldon, Southminster and Wickham Bishops.

Let us know if you have been inspired by any of our recommended reads!
