It's our last holiday Storytime this week, so we're going BIG with a super story all about everyone's favourite big beasty – Tyrannosaurus rex! 🦖📚

What happens when Tyrannosaurus gives out his ROAR? 📣 Find out with a brilliant rhyming story, with lots of sounds to join in with along the way!

Then, once the roaring is over, it’s time to get crafty 🎨🌈 and make your very own rainbow dinosaur to take home.

Join us for one final holiday afternoon of stories, crafts and plenty of dinosaur fun!

📚 It’s the final week of our Adult Summer Reading Challenge too! 📚

If you signed up earlier this summer and still have a little way to go, this is your reminder that the challenge finishes on Saturday 5th September – so there’s still time to squeeze in those final reads and complete your challenge! 📖🏁

We’ve also got plenty of our regular activities to enjoy this week:

🎨 Tuesday: Adult Calm Colouring, 12.30–4.30pm
☕ Wednesday: Good Mood Cafe, 10.30am–12pm, followed by Community Jigsaw, 12.30–3pm
🔤 Friday: Scrabble Club, 10.30am–12.30pm

Please remember that the library is closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday.

📚 It’s the final week of the Summer Reading Challenge! 📚

If your young readers are still working their way through the challenge, now’s the time for that final reading push! The challenge officially finishes on Saturday 5th September, so there are just a few days left to complete those last books and make it to the finish line. 🏁📖

And there’s plenty happening at the library this week too:

🧸 Tuesday: Baby Play Time Drop-in from 10.15am, plus Family Jigsaw from 12pm
🐉 Wednesday: Storytime & Activity at 2pm
🎵 Friday: Rhymetime at 10.15am
📚 Saturday: Family Storytime & Activity at 11am

Please remember we're closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday.

Yesterday was the last craft session of the summer holidays. What a lovely time creating lots of pebble pets/friends. Lovely to see lots of different designs and creations.
Thank you everyone for coming.

Don’t forget today (Saturday 29th) we’ve got junk modelling. Come along and be creative with your model.

We had two fantastic free workshops today with local author and artist Ellie Sandall Illustration following this year’s summer reading challenge theme of Read to the Beat!
Ellie shared her book Every Bunny Dance and the children joined a bunny band with musical instruments and singing and we also did some fabulous drawing along to music, or decorated Ellie’s brilliant bunny drawings.
These workshops were made possible by sponsorship from lovely local firm MoreStore Self Storage 💕

What a lovely morning with Ellie Sandall, she shared a story, some drawing and some singing.
We had a lovely bunny band singing. Some lovely pictures were drawn to music. Ellie played some music and the children drew there pictures with what they could hear. Lovely to see the children listening and drawing along to various music.
