Becoming a digital support volunteer is a rewarding way to make a meaningful difference in your community. You don’t need to be a tech expert - just patient, approachable, and willing to learn. Often, it’s the simple things that make the biggest impact, like helping someone connect with family through video calls or confidently navigate online forms.
Volunteering in this way not only supports others but also builds your own confidence, communication skills, and sense of purpose. It’s a great opportunity to connect with people, give back, and be part of creating a more inclusive digital world.

Book of the Week: 26a by Diana Evans
Beautifully written and deeply moving, 26a tells the story of twin sisters Georgia and Bessi as they grow up navigating identity, family, and the complex journey into adulthood. Evocative, emotional, and unforgettable, it’s a powerful read that stays with you long after the final page.

What a night! Huge thanks to our crime authors and everyone who joined us for last night’s talk - a brilliant evening of stories, insight, and plenty of thoughtful questions. William Shaw and Graham Bartlett Crime and Policing Advisor had us all hooked, sharing the inspiration behind their work and a glimpse into the writing life that was as entertaining as it was enlightening. Ask Graham to tell you about the bullet! We loved seeing so many familiar faces (and new ones too!), and the buzz of conversation afterward said it all. Also a very big thank you to John Pye from The Bookshop for coming and selling his books.
If you came along, thank you for making it so special. And if you missed it… don’t worry, we’ve got more exciting events on the way.
