Good morning! Today at the library we have some delicious bakes 😋 we have Strawberry Victoria sponge, chocolate and cream cheese muffins, vegan orange and lemon drizzle cake, yorkshire tea loaf, black velvet cake and some chocolate brownies.
Today’s story is ‘My dad’ and we’ll be making Father’s Day cards.

⚽🏆 Come and Help Us Get World Cup Ready at the Library! 🏆⚽

We’re busy preparing for the World Cup and have already started colouring and cutting out decorations for our bunting!

We’d love your help. Pop into the library and colour in:
👕 A football shirt in your team’s colours
⚽ A football
🥾 A pair of football boots

Can’t make it to the library? No problem! You can create your own football-themed artwork at home and bring it in for us to add to the display.

Every contribution will help us create a fantastic World Cup celebration for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to see your colourful creations and support for your favourite teams!

🎨✨ Volunteers Needed! ✨🎨

Ackworth Community Library is looking for volunteer face painters and glitter tattoo artists to help support our fundraising efforts at the Ackworth Gala on 27th June.

The event runs from 12pm to 4pm, and we would be grateful for any help, even if you can only spare part of that time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support your local library, help raise vital funds, and bring lots of smiles to children and families attending the gala.

If you have face painting or glitter tattoo skills and would be willing to volunteer, please get in touch with us or send us a message.

A huge thank you to everyone who has kindly donated items to our library’s Jam Jar Tombola fundraiser! 🎉

We have already received some fantastic donations, and we are so grateful for your support.

If you’d like to get involved, we’re still looking for more jam jar donations. Simply fill a clean jam jar with a surprise and drop it off at the library. Ideas include:

🍬 Sweets and chocolates
🎨 Mini colouring items
🔘 Buttons and craft supplies
🔵 Marbles
🪙 Pennies and loose change
🎁 Small toys, stationery, stickers, or other fun treats

The more creative, the better!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and to those who are planning to contribute. Your generosity helps make our fundraiser a success and supports the library community. ❤️📚
