Our members and volunteers (and Dawn from the Cafe!) put their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to the test during Team Building Towers 2.0 this week!

Using with nothing but spaghetti, marshmallows, and plenty of determination, teams worked together to design and build the tallest and strongest structures they could. There were some fantastic ideas, lots of laughter, and a few engineering challenges along the way! 😊

Activities like this are a great way to build confidence, encourage collaboration, and develop creative thinking while having fun together.

A huge well done to everyone who took part - we were impressed by the creativity, perseverance, and teamwork on display. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Wi******er Beer & Cider Festival 🍻 and made a donation. Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible £1,491.36 over the two-day event 💷

It was also a pleasure to meet the new Mayor of Wi******er and share more about our work.

This week, our members worked together in teams to build the tallest paper towers they could!

The challenge encouraged teamwork, communication, creative thinking, design skills, and problem-solving as everyone shared ideas, tested different structures, and adapted their designs along the way.

It was fantastic to see so much collaboration, determination, and fun as teams worked together to reach new heights! 👏

Well done to our member Edwin, who won a Goalball tournament at the weekend and was named Player of the Day! 👏🏆

What is Goalball?

Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for people with a vision impairment. Teams compete to score goals by throwing a ball with bells inside it into their opponents' goal. Players use their hearing to track the ball and defend their goal, making it a unique and exciting sport. The ball is always thrown by hand - never kicked!

At our Go US session today, we took a moment to celebrate and thank our amazing volunteers who support Wi******er Go LD week in, week out.
