After 10 years of faithful service to our charity, it’s time to say goodbye to our trusty Mitsubishi L200 and welcome our newer Toyota Hilux into service. 🚙
The L200 has been an invaluable part of our work over the years, helping us support our charity’s work and reach those who need us.
A huge thank you to all our supporters for your incredible generosity over the years. Your support helps make vehicles like these possible and allows us to continue our work in the community.
Here’s to the next chapter with the Hilux! ❤️

🌊 World Drowning Prevention Day 🌊

Today, our volunteers are out in York helping to spread an important message: drowning is preventable.

Come and meet the York Rescue Boat crew at Monks Cross and King’s Staith, where we’ll be talking about water safety, sharing lifesaving advice, and answering any questions you may have about staying safe around our rivers.

Whether you’re a local resident, a visitor, or someone who enjoys spending time near the water, a few simple safety tips can make all the difference.

🚤 Stop by and say hello.
💙 Learn how to stay safe around the water.

Warning - Cuteness Overload!!

At 0500 this morning whilst out for an early morning walk one of our volunteer crew heard and saw a fox cub fall into the river. Unable to swim nor get out by itself our crew member was concerned members of the public would enter the water risking themselves to rescue it. Instead he grabbed his rescue kit, swam out and recovered the little cub to the shore. A lady has taken it to be checked over before release and we understand he or she is doing well!

Today we are on the side of the Ouse with our stall, come and say hi if you are popping by and see the dragon boats racing down the river!

Come down and see if Onebright (who are rowing for us today with the help of some of our crew) can make it to the final after winning their last race.
