🇨🇿🇬🇭 Czechia continues to support Ghana in strengthening cybersecurity and protecting citizens in the digital space!

📝Ambassador Pavel Bílek and Executive Director of the Africa Center for Digital Transformation - ACDT, Kwesi Atuahene, signed an agreement enabling the implementation of a new Transformation Cooperation project focused on cyber awareness, media development, and public resilience against cybercrime.

⚠️📧The project will support training for Ghanaian journalists and media practitioners in Accra and Kumasi. It will help them better understand cyber threats, online fraud, scams, digital misinformation, and responsible reporting on cybercrime. By strengthening the capacity of trusted media voices, the project aims to improve public awareness, support safer online behaviour, and bring practical cybersecurity information closer to communities across Ghana.

🚨🌐This initiative is one of several Czech-supported projects contributing to Ghana’s cybersecurity capacity. In May, under the CyberVAC programme, Czechia provided the Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service with specialised equipment to enhance the extraction and analysis of data from electronic devices during cybercrime investigations.

🛡️🤝Czechia is proud to work with Ghanaian partners on practical solutions that strengthen institutions, support informed citizens, and contribute to a safer digital future.

🇨🇿🇬🇭 Another group of Ghanaian healthcare professionals is heading to Czechia! 🩺✈️

The Czech Ambassador met with four healthcare professionals from Tamale Teaching Hospital ahead of their specialised training in Czechia. In October, they will undertake a professional fellowship in traumatology at the General University Hospital Prague (Všeobecná fakultní nemocnice v Praze - VFN ). 🏥

The fellowship is organised under the MEDEVAC czech Programme of the Ministry of the Interior of Czechia (Ministerstvo vnitra). Two training visits by Ghanaian healthcare professionals to Czech hospitals have already taken place this year, with four visits planned in total.🩻

The MEDEVAC Programme is built on a genuine two-way exchange of expertise. Czech top medical specialists regularly travel to Ghana, where they perform surgeries on local patients while sharing their experience, specialised skills and know-how with their Ghanaian colleagues. 🤝👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Together, we are strengthening medical cooperation between Czechia and Ghana, building professional partnerships and contributing to better healthcare for patients. ❤️‍🩹

“From floor to tables”: New desks for Ghanaian children! 🏫🇬🇭🇨🇿

The Government of Czechia, through Česká rozvojová agentura - CzechAid, together with the Lemon Family Foundation (David Duron), donated hundreds of new school desks to 14 schools in Elmina to help improve learning conditions for local pupils. 👧🏾📚

Investments in education are one of the most important ones we can make. Children are our future, and every child deserves a safe, comfortable and inspiring place to learn, grow and develop their talents. 👨🏾‍🏫⭐

The donation also includes a high-quality Czech 3D printer from Prusa Research 3D printers, which will help introduce children to modern technologies and strengthen their IT skills. In today’s world, it is essential not only to support basic education, but also to give young people access to innovation, digital tools and practical skills that can open new opportunities for their future. 💻🌐

We are proud that Czech support can contribute to better education and brighter prospects for children in Elmina. 🤝

🎣🇬🇭 Ambassador Pavel Bílek attended this year’s Bakatue Festival in Elmina as Guest of Honour.

This centuries-old celebration, known as the “opening of the lagoon”, marks the beginning of the new fishing season and is a vibrant tribute to the traditions, heritage and community spirit of Elmina. 🛶✨

The many Czech flags seen during the festival were a beautiful reminder of the strong Czech presence in Elmina, built through business, development cooperation and people-to-people ties. 🇨🇿🤝🇬🇭

Special thanks to the local chief of Czech origin David Duron known as Nana Ekow Ankama I. and all friends in Elmina for the warm welcome and hospitality. ✌🍋
