Young people who spend time in another country often become some of the most effective ambassadors of mutual understanding. Through their experiences, friendships and daily interactions, they help build lasting connections between societies that no official programme alone could create.
Ambassador Frederik Landshöft welcomed a group of North-South volunteers at his residence in Accra for an exchange on their experiences, opportunities and challenges during their time in Ghana.
The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to connect volunteers from different regions of the country, discuss practical aspects of their stay & reflect on the important role intercultural exchange plays in strengthening the relationship between Germany and Ghana.
Through their engagement, volunteers gain unique insights into Ghanaian society, build lasting personal connections and contribute to mutual understanding between our two countries.
The weltwärts programme, funded by the German Federal Government, makes this engagement possible by equipping young people with intercultural skills and perspectives that remain relevant long after their return.
We thank all volunteers for their commitment and wish them a rewarding and inspiring continuation of their journey in Ghana. 🇩🇪🤝🏽
