Mission complete!

Exercise Keris Strike 2026 is officially in the books! Over the last two weeks in Kota Belud, Malaysia, forces from the Guam and Oklahoma National Guards, the Malaysian Army’s 5th Infantry Division, and the Australian Defence Force stood
shoulder-to-shoulder for some of the most realistic, high-intensity tactical training in the Indo-Pacific.

From seamless air assault integrations and joint mortar live-fires to grueling force-on-force tactical simulations, every unit pushed their limits and delivered outstanding results. The level of training executed by all parties involved was top-tier, proving that our forces are adaptive, lethal, and combat-ready in any environment.

But this exercise was about much more than just tactical drills. True interoperability isn’t just about sharing tactics, it’s about sharing trust. The nation-to-nation interactions, cultural exchanges, and shared sweat built lifelong bonds between our soldiers and international partners.

We arrived as partners, trained as an integrated team, and left stronger together.

A massive shoutout to everyone who put in the work to make an incredible success. Until next time!

Flying side-by-side through the skies of Malaysia! 🚁

U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade flies in formation with an Australian Army 1st Aviation Regiment ARH Tiger near Kota Belud, Malaysia, July 24, 2026.

The multinational flight supported a simulated air-to-ground assault during Exercise , sharpening tactical readiness and strengthening partner-nation interoperability across the region.

“Congratulations to our Officer Candidates (OCs) and the 203rd MFTR - RTI! They are 4 for 4, as each OC successfully graduated from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School in South Dakota.

“23 July 2026 – Guam Army and Air National Guard service members participating in Cyber Shield 2026 joined the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, General Steven S. Nordhaus and SEA John Raines, for a two-mile morale run during DV Day at the Professional Education Center (PEC). The run highlighted the National Guard’s commitment to physical readiness, teamwork, and esprit de corps while bringing together service members from across the force participating in the nation’s premier National Guard cyber training exercise.”
