Light up ! ♻️💡

As the evenings get darker we're delighted to have received delivery of our new 'Eco Hybrid' lighting tower in Nevinstown as well as new replacement high energy efficiency lighting bulb kit for our old generator. The new lighting tower can run on Hydrotreated Fuel Oil (HVO) which is a more environmentally friendly fuel than diesel with lower emissions. Whilst the engine is running the battery charges allowing the unit to run for up to 11 hours on battery after a 3 hour charge. These upgrades will improve lighting and safety at Nevinstown allowing our players to train and play throughout the winter.💡💡💡

We'd also like to let members know that the Club House will be getting a lighting upgrade next week starting from Monday 26th throughout the week. The work will be undertaken by Precision Klima Services and will upgrade lighting to low energy and high efficient lighting. In order for the work to go ahead access to the clubhouse will be restricted as power and lighting will need to disconnected at times and there will be ladders and other equipment on site. This is a minor inconvenience for what will be a great improvement to the club house that will save money on electricity bills, provide better lighting and further reduce energy use by our Green Club. Thanks to the facilities Commitee and Fhionns Afterschool and Precision Klima for facilitating these works.

These upgrades have been funded through the Community Climate Action Grant awarded to us from the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment through Fingal County Council. Enjoy the midterm 🎃👻♻️

Big day for U16 Juvenile LGFA yesterday that concluded with our Division 3 girls winning the Championship. They faced a very good St Peters side in difficult conditions, the panel worked hard, stayed composed, and fought until the final whistle to secure the win. 🏆👊

This result secures a double for the team this season, adding the Championship title to their earlier league success. Their consistency and commitment throughout the entire year have been excellent, and they deserve so much credit for this achievement.

While we celebrate the Division 3 victory, it is important to acknowledge both other U16 teams who also reached finals yesterday but unfortunately missed out on the results they wanted on the day. All panels put in immense effort and prepared thoroughly all season, the club and their coaches are very proud of their hard work and dedication.

Reaching three football finals in a single day is a major milestone for the club, driven largely by the efforts of Dave Walsh, Tony Egan, Niamh O Grady, Kieran Ryan, Niall Hughes and our adult players who stepped up when asked - Jules, Jen, Ava K, Allanah, Manu, and Tara 👊. This coaching group has done outstanding work developing the 2010 and 2011 girls. Their guidance has taken this panel to a Féile, three finals yesterday, and gives them a Camogie final to look forward to next week.

Special mention must go to the 2011 girls, many of whom were understandably nervous about the squad merger at the start of the year but have since adapted and thrived in the environment.🙌🌟

The parents are incredibly grateful to the management team for their time, patience, and continued development of the players i am told :)

So to sign off, Massive Congratulations to the Division 3 champions AND well done to all three panels and their coaches for representing the club so well yesterday 🙌 and best of luck in the Camogie 💙❤️

🌟St Finians 3:13 Faughs 2:06 🌟

Final league game for Adult Division 5 Hurlers in a wet & windy Saturday morning game away to Faughs yesterday. Tight affair in the 1st half with 4 points separating the sides. Goals for Eoin o Connor in each half & a 2nd half goal from Darragh Quinn was enough for St Finians to run out comfortable winners, securing 2nd position and promotion to Division 4 for 2027!

Congratulations to Wild Geese on winning the league by 2 points. Securing promotion was number 1 target for us this season, so a great way to end the year! Saturday evening hurling to look forward to next year. Massive thanks to all who helped along the way and to all the supporters for coming out to push the lads over the line all year 👍 👏.
