KCC CAMP WAS CONDUCTED BY AHD AT GUREZ BANDIPORA
The Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora in collaboration with the Lead District Bank Bandipora today organized the weekly KCC (Kisan Credit Card) camp, as part of the Nationwide KCC Campaign at BVO Office Gurez. The camp was chaired by Dr G A Lone, CAHO Bandipora. Other attendees include BVO Gurez, Dr Izhar ul Haq, VAS TU Bandipora, concerned Bank Managers, and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the staff. During the camp, a total of 10 KCC cases, 10 PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and 10 PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana) cases were sponsored. Farmers were given awareness about various departmental schemes with special focus on the KCC scheme. CAHO Bandipora focuses on the inclusion of all the potential farmers in the ambit of KCC. He appealed to the officers to make the process hassle free for the farmers. Dairy farmers including the PRIs appreciated the efforts of the department in conducting such camps.

Bandipora: 18/9/2023: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, Dr. G.A.Lone inaugurated seven day capsule training program on Poultry Farming on Scientific lines at Veterinary Complex Bandipora.The training was attended by existing and new start up poultry farmers along with unemployed youth. The deliberations were given by CAHO Bandipora. Later, a lecture was presented by Dr Afaq Amin. Other officers present were Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Tehsil Unit Bandipora and Poultry Extension Officer Bandipora.The initiative was very much appreciated by both budding and existing Poultry farmers of the district.

AHD BANDIPORA HOLDS KCC CAMP OFFICIALS TOOK ANTI-CORRUPTION PLEDGE.

*The Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora* , in partnership with the *Lead District Bank Bandipora,* organized the *weekly Kisan Credit Card (KCC) camp* today at the Meeting Hall of BVO Office, Bandipora, as part of the _Nationwide KCC Campaign_ . *CAHO Bandipora, Dr. G. A. Lone, chaired the camp* , joined by the Nodal Officer, Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, concerned Bank Managers, and staff members.

During the camp, *a total of 31 KCC cases, 31 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) cases, and 31 Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) cases* were sponsored. CAHO Bandipora encouraged farmers to benefit from various departmental schemes and use KCC funds only to support their dairy farming. The Nodal Officer provided awareness about the KCC scheme and its account management, while the PEO briefed attendees on departmental schemes like IDDS, IPDP, HADP, etc., and also addressed the farmers' concerns and questions.

Additionally, officials present at the event took an *Anti-Corruption pledge* as part of the *Brashtachar Mukt J&K week -2023.* CAHO Bandipora emphasized transparency in daily official duties and the provision of a hassle-free environment for farmers.

The camp was Chaired by LDO Sumbal, Dr Mohd Ashraf and was attended by delegates from Lead District Bank, Nodal Officer, Concerned Bank Managers, and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the staff.
During the camp, a total of 38 KCC cases, 38 PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and 38 PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana)* cases were sponsored. Farmers were given awareness about the KCC scheme and its account management. They were also briefed about various departmental schemes such as IDDS, IPDP, HADP, etc. The concerns and queries raised by farmers were gracefully addressed.

*Bandipora, August 31 2023*: On the directions of worthy Deputy Commisioner Bandipora, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, *Dr. G.A.Lone* participated in the Chota Amarnath Yatra which resumed today after a gap of almost a decade at Bandipora, marking a spiritual journey to the revered Chota Amarnath Holy Cave. He was accompanied by technical staff. About *30 ponies* were made available by the department for smooth yatra. Enroute to the Holy cave, *veterinary care* was provided to the ponies. Yatris were very happy and appreciated the arrangements made by the department.

*D_VACCINATION

BVO Gurez along with team visited Baduaab and Angikot area of Tulail to monitor the on going L*D vaccination program. During the visit awareness was given to public regarding the L*D Disease , its control and prevention and PRIs were taken on board.Few livestock were examined on spot and necessary treatment was given as required.. The field staff was instructed to remain vigilant and were directed to complete vaccination as soon as possible.

Rehearsal for Independence Day 2023 held in Veterinary Complex Bandipora

*Bandipora, Aug 13th 2023*: In connection with 77th Independence Day being celebrated on August 15, rehearsal function was today held in Veterinary Complex Bandipora giving a glimpse of the grand spectacle to unfold on 15th August Tuesday.

The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual Independence Day parade scheduled to be held on August 15 to present a glimpse of preparation for an impressive show of colourful events on National festival to exhibit pride of nation.

Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone, hoisted the National flag.

Among others present were Veterinarians and para veterinarians of District Bandipora.

*Bandipora, 12th Aug. 2023* Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone along with Veterinarians and para Veterinarians visited Bahaks in Tragbal area of Bandipora to monitor the ongoing vaccination among livestock in the bahaks. CAHO Bandipora interacted with livestock farmers there and assured timely veterinary care for their livestock from the Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora. The farmers were satisfied with the working of the department and appreciated the role of department.
Livestock Development Officer Sumbal, Dr. M.A.Dar also held a cleanliness drive inside Veterinary Campus Sumbal under the campaign-MERI MATI MERA DESH.

*Bandipora, 11th Aug. 2023* Shri Nazim Zia Khan IAS, Secretary to Govt. Disaster Management & RRR J&K visits PH-Surrinder, Block Arin. He took review of different developmental activities undertaken in the said Panchayat Halqa by all departments. Later plantation drive was held under *MERI MATI MERA DESH* Campaign. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, *Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone* also participated in the event besides different officers from various departments.CAHO Bandipora apprised the Visiting Officer regarding establishment of *Twenty dairy units (alongwith with livestock insurance and different farm accessories)* under *Tribal Sub Plan* in the PH-Surrinder on 90% subsidy. Sarpanch and locals of the said P-Halqa appreciated the activity done by the department in the PH. Later the Visiting Officer hailed the efforts of the Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora in upliftment of Tribal Community.

The Department of Animal Husbandry organized the *weekly KCC (Kisan Credit Card) camp* today on August 11, 2023, as part of the _Nationwide KCC Campaign_ . The camp was held at the Meeting Hall of BVO Office, Bandipora in collaboration with the *Lead District Bank Bandipora* . The camp was chaired by *CAHO Bandipora, Dr G. A. Lone.* Other official attendees include LDM Bandipora, Mr Shamim Ahmad, Nodal Officer, Concerned Bank Managers, and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the staff.
During the camp, a total of *52 KCC cases, 52 PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and 52 PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana)* cases were sponsored. The farmers were provided awareness regarding different departmental schemes with the special focus on KCC scheme. Concerns and grievances of farmers were also addressed.

*Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir Visits District Bandipora*

*Bandipora, 3rd August 2023*: Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, *Ms. Purnima Mittal (JKAS)* visited District Bandipora.She inaugurated the newly constructed double storeyed *Veterinary Hospital at Gabipathri* constructed under NABARD RIDF. She was accompanied by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora,*Dr.G.A.Lone*, Livestock Development Officer Sumbal, Dr. M.A.Dar, Technical Officer General, Dr Idrees.
Later on Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Ms.Purnima Mittal(JKAS) flagged off the *Milk Vans* in Chittarnar Bandipora established under *Integrated Dairy Development Scheme*. She addressed a mega awareness camp there in which farmers, pashu-sakhis participated.She handed over kit-bags to *Pashu Sakhis* working in the district. Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir took *review meeting* with Veterinary Assistant Surgeons of the District regarding departmental activities and achievements in the district under different schemes. Dr. Asima Zehra, VAS Baharabad gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation regarding different achievements by the department in the district. Owner of Milk Plant- *Kasperia Organics* who established Milk Processing Plant under IDDS and whose sucess storey was mentioned by Hon'ble LG in his *"AWAAM KI AWAAZ"* programme was also facilitated by a *momento* by Director AHD Kashmir. Finally *Annual Booklet 2022-23* of Animal Husbandry Department Bandipora and *Coffee Table Book on Yak* was released by Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir in presence of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora and other officers and officials of the district.

*KCC CAMP WAS HELD AT SUMBAL BANDIPORA*

*The Department of Animal Husbandry* organized the *weekly KCC (Kisan Credit Card)* camp on July 20, 2023, as part of the _Nationwide KCC Campaign_ . The camp was held at the Meeting Hall of *LDO Office Bandipora* in partnership with the *Lead District Bank Bandipora* . The camp was attended by officials including *LDO Sumbal, Dr Mohd Ashraf,* delegates from Lead District Bank and CLF, Nodal Officer, Concerned Bank Managers, and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the staff.

The camp successfully sponsored a total of *30 KCC cases, 30 PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and 30 PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana) cases.* Informative sessions were conducted to enlighten farmers about effectively managing their KCC accounts and acquainting them with various departmental programs. The primary objective was to motivate farmers to actively avail the benefits offered by these initiatives. Moreover, an interactive session was thoughtfully arranged to address and resolve any concerns expressed by the farmers.

The camp was held at the Meeting Hall of BVO Office Bandipora in partnership with the Lead District Bank Bandipora. The camp was chaired by *CAHO Bandipora, Dr G. A Lone and LDM Bandipora, Mr. Shamim Ahmad* . Other official attendees include Nodal Officer, Concerned Bank Managers, and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the staff.
During the camp, a total of 19 KCC cases, 19 PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and 19 PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana)* cases were sponsored. The farmers were provided with awareness sessions on the operation and maintenance of KCC accounts, as well as briefed about various departmental schemes. Emphasis was placed on encouraging farmers to actively avail the benefits offered by these schemes. To address any concerns or grievances, an interactive session was held where officials engaged with the farmers and addressed their issues.

*CAHO BANDIPORA KICK-STARTS CAMPAIGN TO VACCINATE CATTLE AGAINST FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE*

Bandipora, 13 July 2023: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone, kick started the vaccination campaign launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora against Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) among cattle as part of National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP).
Technical Officer to CAHO Bandipora, Disease Investigation Liaison officer, field veterinarians and Para veterinarians were present on the occasion. The department aims to vaccinate more than one lakh cattle of the district during the nation wide campaign. Speaking on the occasion, CAHO Bandipora stressed on the staff to fight the common disease found among cattle and said that FMD has been the main cause of cattle deaths and also leads to decrease in milk productions and hoped that the vaccination campaign will help in preventing the disease.
CAHO urged the farmers to make full use of the opportunity and extend their full cooperation to achieve the target of vaccinating every cattle. He was informed that the vaccines required for the animals have already been moved to the respective blocks and a detailed schedule has been worked out for the campaign.
CAHO Bandipora also briefed that FMD is caused by FMD virus of different antigenic types and spreads very easily. He said there is a blister in animal’s mouth which leads to ulcers in later stage while foot is also affected in the process. He said due to this, animals cannot eat properly, cows and buffalos don’t give milk and bullock cannot plough. He said the disease causes drop in milk production, mortality in calves and increases cost of isolation and treatment.

CAHO BANDIPORA VISITS MOBILE VETERINARY CAMP ESTABLISHED AT TRAGBAL BANDIPORA

*Bandipora; 08 July 2023*: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, *Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone* visited Mobile Veterinary Camp established at *Tragbal Bandipora* to provide Veterinary care to migratory livestock en route to bahaks of Gurez.

CAHO Bandipora inspected the mobile camp and directed the staff deployed to provide timely Veterinary care to the migratory livestock.

A research team from Karnataka also visited
the said camp. The team is currently studying the challenges faced by Bakerwal community including the health care needs of their livestock.

There was a huge turnout of farmers. Twenty-five (25) KCC Cases were sponsored on the spot through different banks. Awareness regarding different departmental schemes was also given to farmers. As part of the activities under GOOD GOVERNANCE WEEK, Department of Animal Husbandry Gurez today on 20/12/2022, conducted a day long *interactive session* with progressive dairy farmers, and Beneficiaries of IPDP*, at Block Veterinary Office Dawar.During the interaction session first hand information of different ongoing schemes of the Department(IDDS,IPDP and KCC) was given to the farmers.The public interaction programme witnesses huge participation of farmers .About 35 dairy/Poultry farmers and senior citizen attended the camp and onspot sponsoring of of KCC cases was done.Technical guidance in setty up of Dairy /Poultry* farms under Departmental schemes of IDDS/IPDP was given to the farmers. Inspites of *snow,* the public interaction session was held in a *extremely cold conditions.Different queries were raised by the farmers which was redressed on spot.The farmers hailed the efforts of the Department in organising such camps and were thankful.

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Tuesday chaired a meeting at mini secretariat here to implement A-Help (Accredited Agent for Health and Extension of Livestock Production) programme in the district.

The meeting discussed threadbare various modalities for implementation of A-Help programme.

Weekly KCC Camp under Nation wide KCC Campaign was conducted today at Meeting Hall of Office of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Hajin by the Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora in collaboration with Lead District Bank Bandipora.
The camp was chaired by Dr G A Lone, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora. The Camp was also attended by Dr Mohd Ashraf, Block Veterinary Officer Sumbal, Nodal officer, delegates from Lead District Bank Bandipora, concerned Bank Managers and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon along with his staff. There was a huge turnout of farmers. Thirty-two (32) KCC Cases were sponsored on the spot through different banks.
Farmers were given awareness regarding the different departmental schemes with special focus on the KCC Scheme. Farmers appreciated the efforts of the departments in conducting such camps.

An awareness camp under Assistance to States for Control of Animal Diseases (ASCAD) was organised by Publicity wing of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry Kashmir at Sumbal. The event was chaired by Extension officer Publicity wing, Dr Purnima Bhat and Livestock Development Officer Sumbal, Dr M Ashraf Dar. The camp saw a massive participation of livestock farmers. The farmers were detailed about various diseases of the livestock and measures to prevent them. They were also detailed about winter management feeding for the livestock and different entrepreneurship schemes of the department. *ANIMAL HUSBANDRY BANDIPORA ORGANISES INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH DAIRY FARMERS*
Today on 12/12/2022, Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora organised an interactive session with the Dairy Farmers of Block Bandipora at Veterinary Complex Bandipora.
While interacting, *CAHO Bandipora, Dr G A Lone made the dairy farmers aware about the various components under IDDS and advised them to link their farm with the recently established Milk Processing Unit at Papchan under IDDS* so as to get optimum returns of their produce. *Dr G A Lone stressed upon the importance of Value addition of milk into varied Products like Butter, Ghee, Khoa, Curd besides flavoured milk* so to yield maximum benefits in Dairy Sector.
The session was also attended by BVO Bandipora, Dr M Ramzan Chopan and VAS Quil, Dr Khursheed Alam besides huge number of Dairy Farmers and The owner of KESPERIA Milk Processing Unit.

Weekly KCC Camp under the Nationwide KCC Campaign was conducted today on 8th December 2022 at the Meeting Hall of the Govt Middle School Dardpora, Gabipathri by the *Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Bandipora, Dr G A Lone in collaboration with Lead District Bank Bandipora*.
The camp was attended by Block Veterinary Officer Bandipora, Dr Mohammad Ramzan Chopan and Lead District Manager Bandipora, Mr Shabir Ahmad. Nodal officer, concerned Bank Managers and concerned Veterinary Assistant Surgeon also participated in the Camp. The turnout of farmers was appreciable. Eleven (11) KCC Cases were sponsored on the spot through different banks.
Farmers appreciated the efforts of the departments in conducting such camps at their door steps.
