At the GENESIS Next Gen Startup Summit, MeitY Startup Hub proudly launched GENESIS Idea World -an Idea Bank designed to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs to take the first step in transforming ideas into impactful ventures.

Built around the philosophy of “From Idea to Impact,” GENESIS Idea World encourages participants to identify a real-world problem, articulate a solution, define a vision, and commit to the next actionable step. More than just an idea sheet, it serves as a starting point for innovators to think deeply, validate their concepts, and begin their entrepreneurial journey with purpose.

During the launch, the CEO of MeitY Startup Hub inspired the audience with a powerful message, encouraging every young innovator, entrepreneur, student, and dreamer to take this idea framework with them, fill it with their own vision, and continue building beyond the summit. Emphasizing that every successful startup begins with a problem worth solving, he urged participants to never let their ideas remain confined to paper, but to nurture them into solutions that can create meaningful impact.

“Technology is only an enabler. Real impact begins when we solve real problems.”

Delivering the keynote address at the MeitY Startup Hub’s GENESIS NextGen Startup Summit – Coimbatore Edition, Dr.Panneerselvam ( PS ) Madanagopal, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub, underscored the importance of building startups that create meaningful impact by addressing real-world challenges.

Encouraging young innovators to adopt a problem-solver mindset, he emphasized that every challenge presents an opportunity for entrepreneurship. From improving access to education, healthcare, sanitation, and livelihoods to leveraging technology for nation-building, he highlighted that innovation must always be driven by purpose and the needs of people.

Dr. Madanagopal also outlined the 4Ms that are critical to every startup’s journey- Mentorship, Market Access, Money, and Manpower while reaffirming MeitY Startup Hub’s commitment to enabling entrepreneurs through the GENESIS programme and its nationwide network of incubators. MeitY Startup Hub’s GENESIS NextGen Startup Summit – Coimbatore Edition commenced with a solemn inaugural ceremony, marking the beginning of yet another chapter in our flagship initiative to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators across the country.

The ceremony began with a traditional invocation, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge, innovation, and new beginnings. Dr.Panneerselvam ( PS ) Madanagopal, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub, joined esteemed dignitaries in inaugurating the summit, setting the stage for a day of insightful discussions, meaningful collaborations, and transformative ideas.

“Great incubators don’t just nurture startups - they cultivate the mindset that transforms ideas into impact.”

At the Coimbatore Edition of MeitY Startup Hub’s GENESIS Pravaah Paathshala - Capacity Building & Training Programme, Mr. Prasad Menon, President, ISBA, led an insightful session on “The Incubator Playbook: Designing and Delivering Effective Incubation Programmes.”

Drawing from his extensive experience in the startup ecosystem, Mr. Menon encouraged participants to move beyond simply consuming information and focus on continuous learning, practical ex*****on, and building entrepreneurial capability.

Emphasising that incubation is a mindset rather than an administrative function, he highlighted the pivotal role incubators play in shaping founders by providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and an enabling environment for innovation to thrive.

He underscored that effective mentorship extends beyond advice, it is about sharing experiences, enabling informed decision-making, and empowering entrepreneurs to navigate challenges with confidence. He also stressed that successful incubation programmes are built on ex*****on, collaboration, and a strong startup-first approach, rather than ideas alone.

A key takeaway from the session was the importance of granting incubators the autonomy, governance, and legal foundation necessary to operate effectively and create sustainable impact. Comparing incubators to scaffolding, Mr. Menon explained how they provide structured support to startups during their formative stages, gradually enabling them to become self-reliant and investment-ready.
