CSIR provides S&T based services to industry and other stakeholders like: Environmental impact assessment and mitigation; testing of structures; aerospace and defence; structural engineering related interventions; urban and rural road and housing development; power industries; and food technology. CSIR acts as custodian for: Primary standards of measurements; bio-resources, and traditional knowledge. CSIR is the nation’s flag bearer in: Intellectual Property generation and protection. A senior-level delegation from the National Academy of Science of Belarus (NASB) visited CSIR/DSIR organizations including Central Electronics Limited (CEL), National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI), CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB). The delegation will also be visiting CSIR-CGCRI and CSIR-IICB, Kolkata.

CSIR's recruitment examination for recruitment of ASOs/SOs (CASE-2023) being held from 5th Feb to 20th Feb, 2024

Kind Attention of the candidates is drawn towards incident reported at two examination centres at Dehradun on 8th Feb regarding computer based test (CBT) for recruitment of ASO/SOs in CASE-2023.

In view of the above incident, the technical audit of the IT system deployed for the CBT was conducted by CSIR. On the basis of the preliminary inquiry and the technical audit of the examination system conducted to reconfirm the robustness and the veracity of CBT, it is informed to all the candidates that the currently deployed system of CBT for CASE-2023 is technically robust, sound and foolproof.

With a view to strengthen the security of the examination process, CSIR has already deployed mobile jammers, installed by a government authorised agency to block any electronic communication (such as bluetooth, wifi, etc) in all the examination centres during the entire period of the examination; in both the sessions.

The candidates are hereby informed that the entire CASE-2023 examination is being conducted in a fair and secured manner and the merit of the candidate shall be protected.

The candidates are further advised not to be bothered/misled by various social media posts/news and online videos on the subject and take the exam as per the announced schedule.
