കിഴൂരിലും അഞ്ഞൂര്‍കുന്നിലും സ്കൂളുകളില്‍
സ്വച്ഛ് ഭാരത് ടോയ്ലറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്കുകള്‍ തുറന്നു

കുന്നംകുളം നഗരസഭ 2024-25 വാര്‍ഷിക പദ്ധതിയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി കിഴൂര്‍ വെര്‍ണാകുലര്‍ എല്‍.പി സ്കൂള്‍, അഞ്ഞൂര്‍കുന്ന് ജോബ് മെമ്മോറിയല്‍ സ്കൂള്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ സ്വച്ഛ് ഭാരത് (അര്‍ബന്‍ 2.0) പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി അനുവദിച്ചു നല്‍കിയ ടോയ്ലറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്കുകളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം നടത്തി.

രണ്ടിടങ്ങളിലും ചെയര്‍പേഴ്സണ്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. വൈസ് ചെയര്‍പേഴ്സണ്‍ സൌമ്യ അനിലന്‍ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. 9,10,000 രൂപ ചെലവഴിച്ച് 287 ചതുരശ്രയടി വിസ്തീര്‍ണത്തില്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ടോയ്ലറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്കില്‍ സ്വച്ഛ് ഭാരത് മിഷന്‍ അര്‍ബന്‍ ഫണ്ട് 7,55,300 രൂപയും സ്കൂളിന്റെ ഗുണഭോക്തൃവിഹിതമായി 154700 രൂപയുമാണ് വിനിയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.

5 ശൌചാലയം, 5 മൂത്രപ്പുര, ഭിന്നശേഷി സൌഹൃദ റാമ്പ് എന്നിവയാണ് ടോയ്ലറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്കില്‍ ക്രമീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. നഗരസഭ എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ് വിഭാഗമാണ് നിര്‍മ്മാണ ചുമതല വഹിച്ചത്. ആണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും പെണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും വേവ്വേറെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്ന തരത്തിലാണ് ടോയ്ലറ്റ് ബ്ലോക്ക് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.

വിവിധ ചടങ്ങുകളിലായി സ്ഥിരം സമിതി അധ്യക്ഷന്മാരായ പി.എം സുരേഷ്, ടി.സോമശേഖരന്‍, പ്രിയ സജീഷ്, പി.കെ.ഷെബീര്‍, കൌണ്‍സിലര്‍ പുഷ്പ മുരളി, ജില്ലാ ശുചിത്വമിഷന്‍ പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസര്‍ രജിനേഷ് രാജന്‍, എ.ഇ.ഒ എ.മൊയ്തീന്‍, നഗരസഭ അസി. എന്‍ജിനീയര്‍ മനോജ് മുഹമ്മദ്, എച്ച്.ഐ സുനില്‍, വെര്‍ണാകുലര്‍ സ്കൂള്‍ മാനേജര്‍ വി.കെ സുരേഷ് കുമാര്‍, പ്രധാനാധ്യാപിക സുമി സ്കറിയ, ജോബ് മെമ്മോറിയല്‍ സ്കൂള്‍ പ്രധാനാധ്യാപകന്‍ ഷെമിലാല്‍, കെ.എ അസീസ്, ബി.ആര്‍.സി പ്രതിനിധി സി.സി ഷെറി തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

കിഴൂര്‍ വെര്‍ണാകുലര്‍ സ്കൂളില്‍ നവീകരിച്ച സ്കൂള്‍ കെട്ടിടങ്ങളും ഇതോടൊപ്പം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. അഞ്ഞൂര്‍കുന്ന് ജോബ് മെമ്മോറിയല്‍ സ്കൂളില്‍ സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വിഹിതത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ലഭിച്ച കായിക ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെ വിതരണവും നടന്നു.

*Kunnamkulam Municipality -Swachhata Hi Seva Clean Green Utsav*

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva – Clean Green Utsav campaign, Kunnamkulam Municipality has taken a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability by deciding to organize the Perunnal at St. Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Ayyamparambu, as a full-fledged Green Protocol event.

In preparation for this initiative, the Municipality convened detailed discussions with the church representatives, who wholeheartedly welcomed and extended their complete cooperation for the cause. Their commitment reflects a shared responsibility to preserve the environment while upholding the sanctity and cultural significance of the festival.

To facilitate the smooth and effective implementation of the Green Protocol, the Municipality has arranged essential facilities including a dedicated bottle booth, twin bins for waste segregation and baskets for systematic waste collection. These measures are intended to minimize waste, encourage responsible disposal, and ensure maximum recycling during the celebration.

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, the Harithakarmasena members of Kunnamkulam Municipality organized a unique awareness initiative at Greenpark, Kurukkanpara. The members came together and formed a human chain in the shape of the letters “SHS”, symbolizing Swachhata Hi Seva.

The program highlighted the importance of cleanliness, collective responsibility, and the active role of the community in maintaining a clean and green environment. With their coordinated effort, the Harithakarmasena members conveyed a strong message of unity and commitment towards cleanliness and sustainable waste management.
