*DDC Poonch Conducts Extensive Inspection of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) Arrangements*
_Inspects Eidgah, Jama Masjid, Poonch Fort and Main Bazaar; Directs Officers to Ensure Adequate Facilities and Smooth Conduct of Religious Procession_ .
*POONCH, AUGUST 23* : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, today conducted an extensive visit to various locations in Poonch town to review arrangements for the observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and the associated religious procession.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Sayeed; AD FCS & CA, Khalil Ahmed Banday, besides officers from Jal Shakti and other concerned departments.
During the visit, the DDC inspected the Poonch Eidgah and reviewed the arrangements being put in place for devotees and participants attending the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi programme. He took stock of the availability of essential facilities and directed the concerned departments to ensure proper arrangements for the convenience, safety and security of the public.
The DDC also visited the Jama Masjid, Poonch, and reviewed the arrangements for the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) procession. Hazrat Maulana M***i Farooq Hussain Misbahi and Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Abdul Majeed Madani were also present on the occasion. The DDC took detailed stock of crowd management, traffic regulation, sanitation, drinking water supply, security arrangements and other essential facilities along the proposed procession route.
The concerned officers were directed to maintain close coordination and ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance so that the religious programme and procession are conducted peacefully, smoothly and in an orderly manner.
Later, the DDC visited the historic Poonch Fort (Qila) and Main Bazaar, where he reviewed the overall situation and arrangements in the town in view of the upcoming religious occasion. He also emphasized maintaining cleanliness, ensuring smooth traffic movement and keeping all public facilities functional.
The DDC stressed that the district administration is committed to providing all necessary facilities to the public and ensuring a peaceful, safe and well-managed observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in Poonch.
