Pres. Boakai To Chair 20th Cabinet Meeting


‎MONROVIA, May 27 (LINA) - Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. will on Thursday, May 28, 2026 host the 20th Cabinet Meeting with discussions expected to focus heavily on local governance and public service delivery.

‎According to a media advisory issued by the Office of the Cabinet under the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, the meeting will be held at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia beginning at 11:00 a.m.

‎The session will place the Ministry of Local Government and Municipalities in the national spotlight, particularly around issues of decentralization and devolution. Senior government officials and cabinet members are expected to engage in discussions aimed at strengthening local governance systems across Liberia.

‎Presentations from the Monrovia City Corporation and the Paynesville City Corporation will reportedly guide conversations on improving local service delivery, waste management, municipal planning, and community empowerment.
