วันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เดินทางไปยังสถานเอกอัครราชทูต สปป. ลาว ประจำมาเลเซีย เพื่อลงนามในสมุดไว้อาลัยแสดงความเสียใจต่อการถึงแก่อสัญกรรมของนายไซสมพอน พมวิหาน ประธานสภาแห่งชาติ สปป. ลาว เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2569 โดยนาย Thepthavone Sengmany เอกอัครราชทูต สปป. ลาว ประจำมาเลเซีย ให้การต้อนรับ

โอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ กล่าวแสดงความเสียใจกับเอกอัครราชทูต สปป. ลาวฯ สำหรับการสูญเสียบุคคลสำคัญผู้มีบทบาทในการส่งเสริมมิตรภาพและความร่วมมืออันใกล้ชิดระหว่างไทยกับ สปป. ลาว โดยเอกอัครราชทูต สปป. ลาวฯ ขอบคุณเอกอัครราชทูตฯ สำหรับไมตรีจิตในห้วงเวลาแห่งความเศร้าโศกนี้

*Ambassador signed the condolence book on the passing of H.E. Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR*

On 11 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, visited the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Malaysia to sign the condolence book on the passing of H.E. Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR, on 8 August 2026. The Ambassador was received by H.E. Mr. Thepthavone Sengmany, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Malaysia.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed her condolences to the Ambassador of the Lao PDR on the loss of an important figure who had played a significant role in promoting the close friendship and cooperation between Thailand and the Lao PDR. The Ambassador of the Lao PDR expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s kind gesture during this time of sorrow.

วันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2569 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ จัดพิธีสวดพระพุทธมนต์ถวายพระราชกุศล เนื่องในวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง และวันแม่แห่งชาติ 12 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ วัดพุทธไทยเชตวัน รัฐสลังงอร์ โดยมีนางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ เป็นประธานในพิธีฯ ข้าราชการทีมประเทศไทยพร้อมด้วยคู่สมรส เจ้าหน้าที่ภาครัฐและเอกชน อาทิ ผู้อำนวยการบริหาร สำนักเลขาธิการองค์การตำรวจอาเซียน (ASEANAPOL Secretariat) เจ้าหน้าที่องค์การร่วมมาเลเซีย - ไทย (Malaysia – Thailand Joint Authority : MTJA) และพสกนิกรชาวไทยในมาเลเซียกว่า 50 คน เข้าร่วมโดยพร้อมเพรียงกัน

วันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ร่วมกับคณะทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนเข้าร่วมงานวันอาเซียนปีที่ 59 (the 59th ASEAN Day Celebration) จัดโดยกระทรวง
การต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย ณ หอประชุม Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman กระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย เมืองปูตราจายา ภายใต้หัวข้อ “59 Years of Navigating Together” โดยมี Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย เป็นประธานในงานฯ พร้อมด้วย Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปะ และวัฒนธรรมมาเลเซีย Dato Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย Tan Sri Amran Mohamed Zin ปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย และมีเอกอัครราชทูตและผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่างประเทศในมาเลเซีย ผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาครัฐมาเลเซีย องค์การระหว่างประเทศ และสื่อมวลชน เข้าร่วมกว่า 300 คน

รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซียกล่าวย้ำความสำคัญของการรักษาความเป็นแกนกลางและความเป็นเอกภาพของอาเซียนท่ามกลางสถานการณ์โลกที่ผันผวน เพื่อให้อาเซียนคงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการเจรจาและการทูต พร้อมสนับสนุนการกระชับความสัมพันธ์กับหุ้นส่วนภายนอกอย่างหลากหลายบนพื้นฐานของความเท่าเทียมและผลประโยชน์ของอาเซียน นอกจากนี้ อาเซียนจำเป็นต้องปรับตัวให้เท่าทันบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลง โดยเร่งขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล ปรับปรุงความตกลงการค้ากับหุ้นส่วนสำคัญ และให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน รวมถึงการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่พลังงานสีเขียวและการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงทางพลังงานในระยะยาว

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมด้วยเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนประจำมาเลเซีย ได้ร่วมพิธีตัดเค้กฉลองครบรอบ 59 ปีอาเซียน ร่วมกับรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปะ และวัฒนธรรมมาเลเซีย และรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แสดงความยินดีต่อการจัดงานฯ และพร้อมร่วมมือกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศมาเลเซียอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อส่งเสริมผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันของทั้งสองประเทศและภูมิภาคอาเซียน

*Ambassador attended the 59th ASEAN Day Celebration hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia*

On 10 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, together with fellow ambassadors of ASEAN Member States, attended the 59th ASEAN Day Celebration organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia at the Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Putrajaya, under the theme “59 Years of Navigating Together.” The event was presided over by Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, with presence of Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, Dato Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Tan Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, Secretary-General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. Ambassadors and representatives of foreign embassies in Malaysia, representatives of Malaysian government agencies and international organisations, as well as members of the media, also attended the event, totaling 300 participants.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia underscored the importance of maintaining ASEAN centrality and unity amid a volatile global situation, in order for ASEAN to continue playing an important role in promoting dialogue and diplomacy. He also supported strengthening relations with a diverse range of external partners on the basis of equality and ASEAN’s interests. In addition, he stressed the need for ASEAN to keep pace with the changing global landscape by accelerating the digital economy, modernising trade agreements with key partners, and placing importance on sustainable development, including the transition towards green energy and the strengthening of long-term energy security.

On this occasion, the Ambassador, together with Ambassadors of ASEAN Member States to Malaysia, joined the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia in the Cake-Cutting Ceremony in commemoration of the 59th Anniversary of ASEAN. The Ambassador congratulated the Ministry on the celebration and expressed readiness to work constructively with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia to promote the shared interests of both countries and the ASEAN region.

ค่ำวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการทีมประเทศไทย รับเชิญเข้าร่วมชมการแสดงดนตรี Mahidol x Rondo Brass Band Concert 2026 ณ หอประชุม Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ภายใต้โครงการ “แตรวงร่วมสมัย: สานศิลป์ถิ่นไทย สู่เวทีโลก” โดยการสนับสนุนจากสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม และวิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ประเทศไทย และความร่วมมือกับ Rondo Production ประเทศมาเลเซีย ระหว่างวันที่ 6 - 8 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ มีผู้สนใจจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่างประเทศ สถาบันการศึกษาทั้งในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย วิทยาลัยและโรงเรียนในกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ตลอดจนประชาชนทั่วไป ร่วมชม ประมาณ 500 คน

การแสดงฯ ครั้งนี้ มีนักดนตรีเยาวชน 17 คนจากมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ร่วมบรรเลงกับนักดนตรีเยาวชนมาเลเซีย 15 คน โดยมี ดร. บุญฤทธิ กิจทวีพิทักษ์ รองคณบดีวิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ อ. อลงกรณ์ เหล่าสายเชื้อ และนาย Ke-Jin Yee เป็นผู้อำนวยเพลง นำเสนอผลงานดนตรีที่หลากหลาย ทั้งบทเพลงสากลและบทเพลงจากไทยและมาเลเซีย อาทิ Fire in the Blood ประพันธ์โดย Mr. Paul Lovatt Cooper ราตรีประดับดาว (Starlit Night) ซึ่งเป็นบทเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระปกเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว เรียบเรียงโดย พลตรี ดร. ประทีป สุพรรณโรจน์ และแตร (Trae) ประพันธ์โดย ดร. ปิยวัฒน์ หลุยลาภประเสริฐ รวมถึงบทเพลงพื้นบ้านมาเลเซีย ฯลฯ สร้างความประทับใจแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมชมอย่างยิ่ง

ค่ำคืน Mahidol x Rondo Brass Band Concert 2026 ประสบความสำเร็จงดงาม ช่วยสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านดนตรีระหว่างสถาบันที่เกี่ยวข้อง ส่งเสริมศักยภาพด้านดนตรีของนักศึกษาไทย สนับสนุนผลงานดนตรีร่วมสมัยของไทยในต่างประเทศ อันมีส่วนสำคัญในการส่งเสริมนโยบายการทูตวัฒนธรรมของไทย ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ไทย - มาเลเซีย อย่างยั่งยืน

*Ambassador of Thailand attended Mahidol x Rondo Brass Band Concert 2026, further strengthening Thailand - Malaysia relations*

In the evening of 8 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, accompanied by officials from the Team Thailand in Kuala Lumpur, was invited to attend the Mahidol x Rondo Brass Band Concert 2026 at the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur.

The concert was held under the project “Contemporary Brass Band: Bringing Thai Artistic Excellence to the World Stage”, with support from the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, and the College of Music, Mahidol University of Thailand, in collaboration with Rondo Production, Malaysia. The project took place from 6–8 August 2026 in Kuala Lumpur and attracted approximately 500 attendees, including representatives from foreign diplomatic missions, universities, colleges and schools in Kuala Lumpur, as well as the general public.

The concert brought together 17 young musicians from Mahidol University and 15 young Malaysian musicians, with Dr. Boonyarit Kittaweepitak, Vice Dean of the College of Music, Mahidol University, Mr. Alongkorn Laosaichuea, and Mr. Ke-Jin Yee serving as conductors. The programme featured a diverse repertoire of international, Thai and Malaysian works, including Fire in the Blood by Mr. Paul Lovatt Cooper; Starlit Night, a royal composition by King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), arranged by Maj. Gen. Dr. Prateep Suphanroj; and Trae by Dr. Piyawat Luilapprasert, as well as Malaysian folk songs. The performances were warmly received and greatly appreciated by the audience.

The Mahidol x Rondo Brass Band Concert 2026 marked a successful platform for building networks of cooperation among music institutions, enhancing the musical capabilities and international experience of Thai students, and promoting contemporary Thai music on the international stage. The initiative also underscored the important role of cultural diplomacy in fostering people - to - people connections and contributing to the strengthening of the longstanding and enduring friendship between Thailand and Malaysia.

วันที่ 6 สิงหาคม 2569 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ จัดกิจกรรมจิตอาสาบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์และบำเพ็ญสาธารณกุศล เนื่องในวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง และวันแม่แห่งชาติ 12 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ภายใต้แนวคิด “จิตอาสาร่วมใจ ประดิษฐ์ดอกไม้จันทน์ถวายพระพันปีหลวง ด้วยอาลัยและสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ” โดยมีข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ทีมประเทศไทยพร้อมครอบครัว และประชาชนไทยในกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์และพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอย่างพร้อมเพรียงกว่า 50 คน

กิจกรรมจิตอาสาฯ ครั้งนี้ เป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้ประชาชนไทยในมาเลเซียได้มีส่วนร่วมแสดงความอาลัย ความจงรักภักดี และสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันหาที่สุดมิได้ของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง อีกทั้งยังเป็นการเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีของชุมชนไทยในมาเลเซียผ่านการทำกิจกรรมร่วมกัน และพัฒนาทักษะที่สามารถนำไปต่อยอดได้ โดยก่อนหน้านี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้จัดให้ประชาชนไทยในเมืองยะโฮร์บาฮ์รู และพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง ร่วมประดิษฐ์ดอกไม้จันทน์ในห้วงการจัดกิจกรรมกงสุลสัญจร ระหว่างวันที่ 24 - 25 กรกฎาคม 2569 อีกด้วย

*เอกอัครราชทูตฯ รับเชิญเป็นแขกกิตติมศักดิ์ในกิจกรรมพบหารือและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าข้าวระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนไทย - มาเลเซีย*

วันที่ 5 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ รับเชิญเป็นแขกกิตติมศักดิ์ในกิจกรรมพบหารือและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าข้าวระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนไทย - มาเลเซีย จัดโดยกรมการค้าต่างประเทศ กระทรวงพาณิชย์ ณ ร้านอาหารมาลัยไทย กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยมีนางชนินทร หริ่มเจริญ รองอธิบดีกรมการค้าต่างประเทศฯ ให้การต้อนรับและกล่าววัตถุประสงค์ของกิจกรรมฯ นาง Emiliza Hashim หัวหน้าส่วนบริหารจัดการอุปทานและโลจิสติกส์ บริษัท Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานกำกับดูแลการนำเข้าข้าวของมาเลเซีย นายชูเกียรติ โอภาสวงศ์ นายกกิตติมศักดิ์และกรรมการสมาคมผู้ส่งออกข้าวไทย ตลอดจนผู้ประกอบการส่งออกข้าวไทยและผู้ประกอบการค้าส่งข้าวไทยในมาเลเซียกว่า 50 คน เข้าร่วม

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ พบปะแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและข้อคิดเห็นกับผู้แทนกรมการค้าต่างประเทศ BERNAS และผู้ประกอบการเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์การนำเข้าข้าวของมาเลเซีย ย้ำบทบาทของไทยในฐานะผู้ส่งออกข้าวที่มีคุณภาพและมาตรฐานอันดับต้นของโลก พร้อมผลักดันความร่วมมือในการเพิ่มปริมาณการส่งออกข้าวขาวไทยมายังมาเลเซียอย่างต่อเนื่อง ควบคู่กับการสร้างการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับ “ข้าวคุณลักษณะพิเศษของไทย” ที่เน้นรสชาติ อัตลักษณ์ และคุณภาพ ให้เป็นที่นิยมในตลาดมาเลเซีย เพื่อยกระดับรายได้ของเกษตรกรในกลุ่มสินค้าคุณภาพสูงและขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจเชิงมูลค่าของประเทศไทยในภาพรวม

โอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำผู้แทน BERNAS และผู้ประกอบการร่วมชมการจัดแสดง “ข้าวคุณลักษณะพิเศษของไทย” อาทิ ข้าวกล้องหอมมะลิ ข้าวสังข์หยด ข้าวไรซ์เบอร์รี่ ข้าวเหนียว รวมทั้งผลิตภัณฑ์แปรรูปจากข้าวไทย ฯลฯ เป็นต้น ก่อนรับประทานข้าวคุณลักษณะพิเศษหลากชนิดคู่กับอาหารไทยร่วมกับผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมฯ ในบรรยากาศสร้างสรรค์ ช่วยเสริมสร้างภาพลักษณ์ข้าวไทยและส่งเสริมความร่วมมืออันดีระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนไทย - มาเลเซีย

*Ambassador invited as Guest of Honour of the Thailand – Malaysia Rice Networking*

On 5 August 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited as the Guest of Honour of the “Thailand – Malaysia Rice Networking”, organised by the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, at the Malai Thai Cuisine Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, and was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Chanintorn Rimcharone, Deputy Director-General of the DFT, who delivered the Event’s objective remarks. The Event was also attended by Mrs. Emiliza Hashim, Head of Supply and Logistics Management of Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS), the agency responsible for regulating rice imports into Malaysia; Mr. Chookiat Ophaswongse, Honorary President and Board Member of the Thai Rice Exporters Association (TREA); as well as more than 50 representatives from Thai rice exporting companies and Malaysian wholesalers of Thai rice.

The Ambassador met and exchanged views with representatives of the DFT, BERNAS and private-sector stakeholders on the current landscape of Malaysia's rice import market, reaffirming Thailand's position as one of the world's leading exporters of premium-quality rice. The Ambassador also underscored the importance of cooperation to further expand exports of Thai white rice to Malaysia, while promoting greater awareness of “Thailand's Specialty Rice”, renowned for its distinctive taste, unique identity and exceptional quality, with a view to increasing its popularity among Malaysian consumers. Such efforts are expected to enhance income opportunities for Thai farmers engaged in premium rice production while contributing to Thailand's value-based economic development.

On this occasion, the Ambassador also led representatives of BERNAS and participating businesses on a tour of an exhibition showcasing a selection of “Thailand's Specialty Rice” such as Hom Mali Brown Rice, Sang Yod Rice, Riceberry and Glutinous Rice, together with a variety of value-added rice products. The programme concluded with a luncheon featuring an assortment of Thai rice varieties paired with authentic Thai cuisine in a constructive atmosphere, further enhancing the status of Thai rice and reinforcing the close cooperation between the Thai and Malaysian public and private sectors.

วันที่ 4 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวลดา ภู่มาศ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ รับเชิญเข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงาน Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026 ภายใต้ธีม “Weaving Horizons: Shaping the Tapestry of Tomorrow” จัดโดยสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการมาเลเซีย (MyCEB) ระหว่างวันที่ 3 - 5 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมกัวลาลัมเปอร์ (KLCC) กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยมี YB Dato' Seri Tiong King Sing รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมมาเลเซีย (Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia: MOTAC) เป็นประธานและกล่าวถ้อยแถลง YB Dr. Sivakumar A/L Varatharaju Naidu ประธาน MyCEP กล่าวต้อนรับ และ YB Tuan Chiew Choon Man รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการ MOTAC ผู้บริหารระดับสูงของ MOTAC และ MyCEP ผู้แทนภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และแขกรับเชิญเข้าร่วมกว่า 500 คน

โอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ กล่าวแสดงความยินดีกับรัฐมนตรีว่าการฯ และผู้แทนระดับสูงของภาครัฐมาเลเซีย ย้ำบทบาทและความพร้อมของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ในการทำงานร่วมกับสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (TCEB) ของไทย MOTAC และ MyCEB ในการขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจแก่ผู้ประกอบการไทย ส่งเสริมการเดินทาง MICE ของชาวมาเลเซียในประเทศไทย ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างพลวัตความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวไทย – มาเลเซีย อย่างเข้มข้น

*Ambassador invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026*

On 4 August 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026 under the theme “Weaving Horizons: Shaping the Tapestry of Tomorrow”, organised by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) during 3 – 5 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), whereby YB Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia (MOTAC), presided over and delivered an opening remarks; and YB Dr. Sivakumar A/L Varatharaju Naidu, MyCEB Chairman, delivered a welcoming remarks. Also in attendance were YB Tuan Chiew Choon Man, Deputy MOTAC Minister, senior officials from MOTAC and MyCEB, representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as invited guested with a total of more than 500 participants.

The Ambassador met with the MOTAC Minister, Deputy MOTAC Minister, and senior MyCEB officials, and attended the opening ceremony, whereby the MOTAC Minister underscored the role of the business events industry as a key driver of Malaysia's economic growth through attracting investment, fostering innovation, facilitating knowledge exchange, and creating economic opportunities for businesses and local communities, while reaffirming the Malaysian Government's commitment to advancing sustainability, digital transformation, and talent development to ensure the international competitiveness of Malaysia's business events sector.

On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the MOTAC Minister and senior officials of the Malaysian Government on the successful organisation of MBEW 2026, while reaffirming the Royal Thai Embassy's readiness to work closely with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), MOTAC and MyCEB to expand business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs, promote MICE travel from Malaysia to Thailand, and further strengthen the dynamic tourism partnership between Thailand and Malaysia.
