DR ITULA URGES AFRICAN LEADERS TO REVIVE PAN-AFRICAN VISION

IPC President and Leader of the Official Opposition in Namibia, Dr. Panduleni F.B. Itula, has called on African leaders to move beyond rhetoric and take concrete steps toward a united and self-reliant continent.

Speaking at the Africa Economic Leadership Council, Dr. Itula urged leaders to revisit the Pan-African ideals championed by Kwame Nkrumah, Haile Selassie and other founding fathers. He stressed the need to reduce dependence on former colonial powers and harness the capacity of Africa’s youth to build "one Africa that can look after itself."

IPC Shadow Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Hon. Lillian Lutuhezi, has engaged members of the Deaf community in Khomasdal to discuss barriers they face in accessing public services.

During the engagement, members of the Deaf community highlighted the lack of sign language interpreters as a major challenge.

They cited key areas including Parliamentary debates and proceedings, hospitals, police stations, and courts where the absence of interpreters limits their access to information, healthcare and justice.

Hon. Lutuhezi said the IPC is committed to advocating for policies that promote inclusion and ensure that persons with disabilities can participate equally in all spheres of society.
