But how do you know whether a product is Namibian? According to Team Namibia, the easiest way to identify a genuine Namibian product is to look for the official Team Namibia logo on the packaging. This trademarked logo is only granted to products and services that are manufactured, produced or grown in Namibia, meet quality, health and safety standards, and contribute to the local economy.
Team Namibia explains that a Namibian product is one that is manufactured or produced in Namibia, even if some raw materials are imported, but consumers do not consider a product that is merely packed in Namibia as truly Namibian. The organisationโs logo therefore endorses products that are genuinely made locally and helps buyers distinguish them from imported alternatives.
