I was honoured to join the President of the Senate, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, at the official reception of the new Airbus A220-300 aircraft for Ibom Air at Victor Attah International Airport.

This landmark acquisition reflects the Governor’s commitment to the ARISE Agenda and his vision for economic growth, tourism, connectivity, and sustainable job creation.

It further strengthens Akwa Ibom’s position as a leading aviation and economic hub in Nigeria and the West African region.

Today, I joined the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, on an oversight visit to the Nigerian Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), in Lagos.

As members of the Committee, our priority is to safeguard government revenues, ensure full compliance with the Petroleum Industry Act, and promote investment and energy security.

We are committed to strengthening the Upstream sector to drive sustainable growth, increase production, attract quality investments, and contribute meaningfully to national development
