Ambasada e Republikës së Kosovës në Norvegji

Kosova, me mbështetjen e kompanisë norvegjeze Tomra, ka nisur testimin e sistemit të rikthimit të shisheve të plastikës dhe aluminit në Sunny Hill Festival.

Ky projekt pilot i Ministrisë së Mjedisit është hapi i parë drejt një sistemi modern të riciklimit në Kosovë.

Ftoj të gjithë pjesëmarrësit e festivalit ta përdorin këtë sistem dhe të bëhen pjesë e këtij testi të rëndësishëm. Së bashku mund të ndërtojmë një kulturë më të fortë të riciklimit dhe mbrojtjes së mjedisit. ♻️

Në fund të festivalit do të ndahen certifikata mirënjohjeje për pjesëmarrësit që kanë kontribuar më së shumti në riciklim.

A Serbian minister has now declared that, had she been in Milošević’s position, she too would have ethnically cleansed Kosovo.

Pause on what that means.

This is not a diplomatic misstep. It is not an unfortunate choice of words. It is an open endorsement of a crime against humanity and a public expression of regret that ethnic cleansing was not completed.

For years, Serbia has invested enormous effort in presenting itself abroad as a constructive regional partner while simultaneously refusing to confront the crimes committed in Kosova. This is the contradiction at the heart of Serbian diplomacy: polished rhetoric for international audiences, historical revisionism and nationalist messaging for domestic consumption.

When senior officials can speak this way without immediate political consequences, interlocutors might see these are not isolated voices. They are symptoms of a state that still struggles to distinguish patriotism from the glorification of atrocity.

Equally troubling is the silence of those governments that, while refusing to recognise Kosova, recently shared a cordial luncheon with Serbia’s Prime Minister. Diplomacy cannot become a refuge from moral clarity. If a government openly entertains narratives that justify ethnic cleansing, those extending handshakes and photo opportunities owe the victims more than polite silence.

Recognition of Kosovo is ultimately a sovereign decision. But indifference to rhetoric that normalises crimes against humanity is a choice, especially when advocates of ethnic cleansing are treated as respectable interlocutors.

History does not judge nations by the elegance of their diplomatic receptions. It judges them by what they were prepared to excuse.

Last Friday, 19 June, we marked the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. The day began with a breakfast hosted by the British Embassy in Oslo, followed by the official opening of the art installation Thinking of You outside the Nobel Peace Center. As part of the ceremony, a Peace Dove was released over the square as a symbol of hope and solidarity.

Thinking of You is a powerful art installation comprising hundreds of skirts and dresses suspended on washing lines in public spaces. It is a striking visual expression of absence, dignity and our shared humanity. An everyday task, traditionally carried out by women, is transformed into a powerful message about human experience and a call for political action. Each garment represents solidarity with survivors and honours their courage. Together, they create a moving expression of grief, pain, resilience and hope. The garments have been donated by survivors and by women from around the world who wish to stand in support of those affected by conflict-related sexual violence. The installation was created by Kosovo-born artist to bring visibility to the experiences of survivors and to remind us that war crimes and sexual violence must never be met with silence.

Mental Health and Human Rights Info (MHHRI), together with the Norges kvinnelobby, Ambasada e Republikës së Kosovës në Norvegji, the British Embassy Oslo and the Nobel Peace Center, has worked to bring this important installation to Oslo. Thank you to everyone who has generously donated dresses. We are deeply grateful to everyone for their commitment, collaboration and support.
We would also like to thank all the volunteers, both from and the Kosovo Embassy, who helped conduct the youth engagement workshop in front of the Nobel Peace Center.

The installation can be experienced in Torggata and outside the Nobel Peace Center until 28 June.

🇽🇰🇳🇴Ambasadorja Dr. Nita Luci priti në Ambasadën e Republikës së Kosovës në Oslo përfaqësues të organizatave QendraKosovare për Studime Gjinore, Syri i Vizionit, EcoZ dhe Save the Children Kosova, në kuadër të vizitës së tyre studimore në Norvegji.

Delegacioni prezantoi nismën e përbashkët për hartimin e Raportit Alternativ të Shoqërisë Civile mbi zbatimin e Konventës për të Drejtat e Fëmijës në Kosovë, me fokus në vlerësimin e situatës së të drejtave të fëmijëve sipas standardeve ndërkombëtare dhe forcimin e mekanizmave të pavarur të monitorimit dhe raportimit.

Gjatë takimit u zhvillua një shkëmbim i frytshëm pikëpamjesh mbi rolin e institucioneve në mbështetjen e nismave që promovojnë dhe mbrojnë të drejtat e njeriut, si dhe mbi rëndësinë e bashkëpunimit ndërmjet institucioneve publike dhe shoqërisë civile në avancimin e këtyre çështjeve.

Ambasadorja Luci vlerësoi kontributin e organizatave të shoqërisë civile në promovimin e të drejtave të fëmijëve dhe të barazisë gjinore, duke nënvizuar rëndësinë e shkëmbimit të përvojave dhe praktikave të mira me partnerët ndërkombëtarë.

Takimi konfirmoi përkushtimin e përbashkët për forcimin e bashkëpunimit dhe mbështetjen e iniciativave që kontribuojnë në avancimin e të drejtave të fëmijëve dhe vlerave demokratike.

🇽🇰🇳🇴Në ambientet e Ambasadës së Republikës së Kosovës në Oslo, Ambasadorja Dr. Nita Luci priti përfaqësuesit e shoqatave shqiptare në kuadër të takimit të Këshillit Shqiptar në Norvegji.

Takimi u zhvillua në një frymë bashkëpunimi dhe dialogu konstruktiv, ku u diskutuan çështje me rëndësi për komunitetin shqiptar në Norvegji, forcimi i bashkëpunimit ndërmjet shoqatave dhe koordinimi i aktiviteteve të përbashkëta në të ardhmen.

Pjesëmarrësit riafirmuan përkushtimin e tyre për të kontribuar në avancimin e interesave të komunitetit shqiptar dhe në forcimin e rolit të Këshillit Shqiptar si platformë bashkëpunimi dhe koordinimi.

Gjatë takimit u dakordua që mbledhja e ardhshme e Këshillit Shqiptar të mbahet më 26 shtator 2026 në Oslo, ku do të trajtohen, ndër të tjera, zgjedhja e kryesisë së re dhe planifikimi i aktiviteteve për periudhën në vijim.
