Next year will be our 150th jubilee.

We are asking for expressions of interest from past or present parents and/or pupils to form a steering committee to organise this event.
We were hoping for Easter 2027, but it could also be the King's Birthday or Labour Day Weekend of 2027.
If you want to be involved, please contact Jo Wilson (Principal) by email at this address- [email protected]
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards Jo Wilson

And sometimes the simplest ideas lead to rich discussions, wonderings and observations. On Friday we all dropped water onto a coin to see what would happen...'the water makes the coin look bigger!' 'the water makes a bubble that's thicker than the coin!' 'How come the water doesn't fall off the sides straight away?' Then add in a photo of an insect walking on water, and then of course Dynamo the magician walking on water!
And voilĂ  you have a great science conversation.

We had an awesome visit yesterday from Judith Paulin, her husband and some members of the Ravensbourne Community who came to share or listen to stories about their own or relatives experiences during war. Also how different the forms of communication were between then and now. We hope families take some time this weekend to reflect on the sacrifices made and the value of family.

Leading up to ANZAC Day
On Wednesday April 22 at 10am we have Judith Paulin coming into school to talk about her great uncle ,Peter Hutton, (whose name is on our RSA Commemoration Board in the office) and share some stories and memorabilia with us.
If you would like to join us on that morning and share any memories, letters or photos of your relatives , you would be most welcome.
We will then have a morning tea from 11-12ish. We will have scones, tea and coffee.
Jo S has hand knitted 25 poppies which are available to buy at $2 each. The money will go to the RSA as a donation.

Regards Jo W and Jo S.

We just had a very successful and fun night and day camp. We went glamping in our school grounds for the night in tents and pop top caravan.
We had a shared BBQ tea, a late night swim in our pool. Hot chocolate and yummy treats. The following day we went to Toitu museum to learn about the exploration of the Pacific and how the first brave explorers navigated into the unknown.
We had lunch at the Botanical Gardens and fed the ducks, as you do. Then back to school and off home!

We had a great visit today from the DCC Dog Education Team . We learnt to pat a dog, chin and chest is best, and if the dogs on his own, leave him alone.
Some great suggestions to keep yourself safe.
