⭐Sports Leaders Breakfast 2026 ⭐
A great morning bringing our school sports leaders together to hear from Ella Gomez and Will Stodart from the Otago Spirit and Otago NPC rugby teams.

Ella and Will shared their sporting & life journeys, leadership experiences, challenges they’ve faced and some great advice for our young leaders as they continue to grow both on and off the field.

A big thank you to Ella and Will for giving up their time and sharing their stories with us! We wish you the very best of luck from the remaining games of the FPC & NPC seasons 🏉🔵🟡

Bayfield High School celebrated it's 65th birthday last weekend with enthusiastic support from staff, students and community. We were delighted to welcome back one of our alumni, Anna Grimaldi to speak at our celebration assembly for our students on Friday. This assembly included a fashion show of uniforms that have been worn over the 65 years of Bayfield!

Friday night showcased some of our amazing talent at our annual Best of Bayfield concert.

And Saturday saw the official opening of the new tennis courts, along with some friendly games with past and present students.

Thankyou to everyone who came along throughout the weekend to celebrate. It was great to see so many familiar faces 😀

Congratulations to our incredible Theatresports team who travelled to Christchurch this weekend for the South Island Theatresports Competition and came away with an amazing 2nd place! 🥈🎭

They were absolutely phenomenal - thinking on their feet, rhyming, singing, creating, and improvising their way through an incredible performance.
Thank you to the Court Theatre in Christchurch amd the Crown Plaza for putting us up for the night!
What a fantastic weekend for the Arts all round. We are so incredibly proud of all our students and the creativity, talent and mahi they continue to bring to everything they do!

Congratulations to Megan Waayer for her selection into the U18 Southern United Football team for the uppcoming National League!

What a performance!
Our Hip Hop crew Street Sass made it through to the finals of their section at Nationals yesterday and absolutely smashed it! 🙌

They performed incredibly and finished in the Top 5 crews, what an amazing achievement!

Congratulation to this talented crew and all the hard work, dedication and energy they brought to the stage.

Last night was a huge night for Bayfield's Performing Arts! Congratulations to talking furniture who placed 3rd at Rockquest Nationals last night in Wellington! Brodie Jones also took away the musicianship award! So proud of these guys and excited to see where they will go in the future. 🎸🎤🤘
