What are your views on zone-based fares and fare capping in Otago?

Have your say by Wednesday!
👉 orc.govt.nz/buszones

The clock is ticking to share your thoughts on options for:
🎯 Zones for buses
🎟️ Bus and ferry fare caps
💵 Removing cash fares

Zones would enable us to charge more for longer-distance fares.

Travel costs can add up quickly for people taking a lot of trips. Fare capping would reward regular bus and ferry users.

This is your chance to tell us what you think.

🚌 Bus stop changes at Frankton Bus Hub

Due to ongoing traffic congestion, buses are not always arriving at the hub according to the scheduled timetable. To improve flexibility, Routes 1–4 heading towards Queenstown may now use any of Stops A, B or C, depending on which stop is available when they arrive. Please check the bus electronic header displays or with your driver before boarding.

📍 Updated bus stop locations
The following services will now depart from either Stop A, B or C:
• Route 1 – Remarkables ➡️ Sunshine Bay
• Route 2 – Frankton Bus Hub ➡️ Arrowtown
• Route 3 – Kelvin Heights ➡️ Quail Rise
• Route 4 – Jack's Point ➡️ Arrowtown

📍 Route 5
Queenstown ↔️ Lake Hayes continues to use Stops D and E in both directions.

⛳ Services using the Frankton golf course side
The following services will continue to depart from the golf course side of the hub:
• Route 1 – Sunshine Bay ➡️ Remarkables
• Route 3 – Quail Rise ➡️ Kelvin Heights
• Route 4 – Arrowtown ➡️ Jack's Point

🔄 Route 2 reminder
If you're travelling from Arrowtown, your Route 2 service will now finish on the Frankton golf course side of the hub instead of inside the main bus hub. If you're connecting to another bus, please let your driver know which service you're transferring to when you board.

Thanks for your patience while these upgrades are underway. Check the latest service information before you travel at orc.govt.nz/orbusqt
