Hugh returns to the MTO stage after making his debut in Oliver! as part of Fagin's Gang, where he spent his time picking pockets and "drinking gin instead of cocoa!"

Philippa has been performing since age 4. She played Nipper in 2025's Oliver! and joined MTO again for Silver Screen Soirée. Philippa loves piano, singing, songwriting, drawing, ballet and being on stage!

Cross Country tomorrow! This is kicking off at 1.40pm with the little kids first and the Y8's running last. Kids can come to school in their house colours. Whanau most welcome to come and cheer them on!

Have you seen the article in this week's Oamaru Mail about the Burns Memorial Art Exhibition? We have collected up our art and this will be part of the Waitaki exhibition taking place from August 1 at the Forrestor Gallery.

Special mention to our very own James Oh-Stephen whose art is being used to advertise the exhibition. James did this at our after school art class with Karen Aitken.

He whetū koe James - you are a star and we are very proud of you and your work!

These art classes are a great opportunity for our creative tamariki to find other ways to create and show their creative talents.

UPDATE:
After his first three motos , Ryan has qualified in the top 40 in the world! Keep an eye on the livestream to see how he goes in the next round!

Well done Ryan! 4th in your 1st moto! A top 40 finish will put him in the 1/8th finals. (Ryan Entwisle at the World BMX Champs).
Ryan will also be in Moto 124 and 225. You can watch these on the livestream on the Dunedin BMX Club FB page.

Last week we were celebrating a national champion (Harper) and this week we are celebrating two students (and their older brother - and ex student) competing on the world stage!

Dylan, Kate and Ryan Entwisle are riding for NZ at the World BMX Champs. Here's a wee update of their week so far - and we look forward to following their races on You Tube . . .

The kids have had their two practice sessions on track now. So many riders that they only manage 2-3 laps for their session!

The 'pit' is in the bottom of the veledrome. The Australian Commonwealth games track team are training by on the veledrome track, so the kids get a front row seat to watch!

Here's a few pictures so far of the kids, the NZ team and the Dunedin BMX members. They are loving the experience on and off the track.

Ryan races tomorrow (Thursday) and the Dylan & Kate on Friday. The racing is on the UCI YouTube channel, which will be posted on the Dunedin BMX page each morning of racing for that day.
