We've nearly finished the upgrade at the Weedons Road interchange, part of the Rolleston Access Improvements project.

From next week we'll have the new traffic signals up and running. These signals have been designed to make things smoother for everyone by reducing queues on the State Highway 1 southbound off‑ramp and improving traffic flow around the roundabout.

The signals will be green most of the time, with the red signal only activating when there’s a queue on the off‑ramp. This will briefly hold Weedons Road traffic so vehicles can safely enter the roundabout from the off-ramp and help stop traffic backing up onto the motorway.

When completed the Rolleston Access Improvements project will create better connections for people and businesses in the area. Travel times through and around Rolleston will be more reliable, making it easier for people to get around and do business.

If you attend, organise, deliver, support or use community activities or services in Selwyn, we’d love to hear from you. Your feedback will help Council, funders and community agencies better plan for the future, including funding support, volunteer needs and facility requirements across the district.
