Mana Wairua is a celebration of our people. Out there living and Rolleston Spirit and the E Tū Tāngata Aotearoa Principals.
Sean’s journey as a coach over the past four years reflects the heart of Others Matter. Returning to the college campus after five years to coach alongside fellow alumni Quinn and George has been a surreal and rewarding way to give back to the program that shaped his own school years.
"Coaching is such a rewarding experience... Those lightbulb moments they have when something finally clicks is the reason I keep coming back."
Sean embodies We Succeed Together by stepping up to mentor the next generation. While he once thought volunteering was a waste of time, giving back has shown him that community connection offers far more than money ever could. Through coaching, he’s discovered personal growth, built strong relationships, and learned invaluable life skills.
Sean’s journey is a powerful reminder that every learner and alumnus has something unique to offer. By choosing to give back, he’s actively building community and showing our Year 9s what the Rolleston Spirit is all about!
I encourage others (Alumni) get involved, help out. School provides so many opportunities while you are a student, so giving back a little bit of your time is a nice way of saying thank you to the school and the staff."
