In 2027, our Pacific Studies classes will travel to the islands of Tonga. The vision of the trip is linked to the learning from the class about Pacific values, chief systems, history, dance and very importantly food!

We invite all learners, not just Pacific Studies classes, to join us on this amazing experience.

We will offer plenty of fundraising opportunities to help support with costs too.

We will hold an information evening next term so you can learn more from our teachers who will lead the trip. The date will be confirmed soon. If you would like to come along, please RSVP to [email protected]

COMMUNITY NOTICE - Selwyn Youth recruitment drive.

Kia ora,
We are currently running a mid-year recruitment drive for the Selwyn Youth Council (SYC) and are inviting applications from local rangatahi aged 12–24 who live within the Selwyn District.

The Selwyn Youth Council is a diverse group of young people who work together to represent youth voices across the district. Members contribute to projects, provide input into council decisions affecting young people, run consultations, and help design initiatives that support youth wellbeing, connection, leadership, and participation in the community.

Being part of SYC is a great opportunity for students to:

Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Gain experience in civic engagement and local decision-making
Connect with other motivated young people across Selwyn
Help shape initiatives and opportunities for youth in the district

Get involved, develop new skills, and make a positive impact in our community.
