Ka mau te wehi kōtiro mā!

Congratulations to all our secondary school teams who participated in the Lower North Island Secondary Schools Tournament this past week.

Some amazing results across the board, especially Wainuiomata High School Sports finishing 2nd in B grade and winning promotion to A grade for 2027!!!!!

Thank you to the officials, umpire coaches, coaches, managers, school coordinators, players and spectators for your participation over the past week.

Congratulations to Karen Sinclair who was also awarded the Good Sports Award!

📱 Wainuiomata whānau — we've got some news!

From Term 1 next year, all Year 9–13 students will be bringing their own laptop or Chromebook to school. We know this will raise questions - around cost, what device to buy, and what support is available.
We want to answer them properly.
Here's what we're asking:

We all know someone struggling with cancer or having lost someone to Cancer.
FRIDAY we will support the Daffodil day by wearing YELLOW. Bring a donation in support of the cancer society. IT IS NOT A NON UNIFORM DAY, it is YELLOW themed in support.

We have activities happening each day this week to celebrate and uplift our Hauora.

Tues lunch: Kapa Haka and Poly Group performances, Yoga

Weds lunch: Just Dance

Tooth Fairy Dress-up Day - come dressed up as the tooth fairy to help promote dental health! No wings - no m***i!

Thurs lunch: Ki o Rahi Staff vs. Students

We have completed our lockdown exercise and all students, staff and persons on site are safely accounted for. Everyone did extremely well and responded to instructions. A notice will be going out to parents/ caregivers tonight to provide some more information about our emergency lockdown procedures.

We would like to personally thank you for your support while we conduct these drills.
