𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || The second batch of the Iloilo-leg of our lecture series for licensed foster parents in the region held last August 22. 💙❤️💛

The lecture series entitled Safe Hands, Healing Hearts: Supporting Children through Trauma and the Trauma-Informed Care and Managing Challenging Behaviors equipped licensed foster parents with advanced parenting skills to support the children in their care. 💙❤️💛

The National Authority for Child Care (NACC) warmly welcomes Assistant Secretary for Operations Atty. Madeline Arezu Ty Jam and NACC Council Member Atty. Bernadette Abejo as they return to the agency.

Both bring with them years of experience in adoption and alternative child care. Asec. Jam previously served as NACC Assistant Secretary for Administration and Finance, while Atty. Abejo formerly served as Executive Director of the Inter-Country Adoption Board (ICAB).

Congratulations on your appointments and oath-taking! We look forward to working with you once again as NACC continues to advance the best interests and welfare of every child. 💙💛❤️

The NACC-RACCO 6 conducted another batch of lecture series for licensed foster parents from the province of Iloilo, Capiz, and Guimaras last August 15 in Iloilo City.

Dr. Shella Marcela P. Villanueva, Academic Supervisor of the Psychology Department at the University of San Agustin College of Liberal Arts, Sciences and Education served as resource person during the activity.

Dr. Villanueva discussed the topics Safe Hands, Healing Hearts: Supporting Children through Trauma and the Trauma-Informed Care and Managing Challenging Behaviors.

The lecture series aimed to equip licensed foster parents with advanced parenting skills to support the children in their care.

RACCO 6 Officer-in-Charge Ms. Janice Brasileño gave a welcome message and expressed her gratitude to the participants for supporting the foster care program.

The activity was also attended by social workers from child caring agencies and local government unit. Social work interns from Iloilo Doctor’s College and Central Philippine University likewise joined the activity.

The first batch of the lecture series was conducted for licensed foster parents in Antique last August 8.

The lecture series for foster parents was facilitated by the RACCO 6 Alternative Child Care Section. 💙❤️💛

Here’s a glimpse of another successful 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐑𝐌𝐂) conducted by RACCO 6 last August 12.

Spearheaded by the Regional Child Placement Committee (RCPC) composed of a psychologist, lawyer, social worker, pediatrician, and representative from a non-government organization, RMC is where prospective adoptive and foster parents are presented, and if approved, matched to a child.

The activity is facilitated by the RACCO 6 RMC Secretariat.

Another batch of licensed foster care parents from Iloilo, Capiz, and Guimaras joined today’s “Lecture Series entitled, Safe Hands, Healing Hearts:
Supporting Children Through Trauma” held in Iloilo City.

This lecture series, focused on trauma-informed care and handling challenging behaviors, is organized by RACCO 6 Alternative Child Care Section.
