𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | Philippine Reclamation Authority Officials Unveil Flagship Projects on PTV4's Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) presented its priority programs and projects under the Bagong Pilipinas agenda during its guest appearance on PTV4's Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon TV show.

Chairman Alexander T. Lopez, together with Director Eligio T. Ildefonso, Assistant General Manager Joseph John Literal, and Acting Department Manager Ynna Margarita Yalong-Gelomina, with the support of General Manager and CEO Engr. Cesar S. Siador Jr., discussed the Authority's ongoing initiatives in support of sustainable development, environmental management, and infrastructure planning.

The projects featured included:
Hydroponics Facilities (Gulayan sa Paaralan), an initiative that supports food security and nutrition by establishing hydroponic facilities in schools and host communities;

Bay City Loop Transit System, a proposed transport network intended to improve mobility and connectivity within the Bay Area; and

Pasay Reclamation Interconnectivity Master Plan, a long-term infrastructure framework for the coordinated development and accessibility of reclaimed areas in Pasay City.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) conducted a coordination meeting with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VII to discuss ongoing projects and strengthen collaboration on foreshore management in Cebu and other areas within Central Visayas.

The meeting underscored the commitment of both agencies to enhance inter-agency coordination in advancing sustainable coastal development, environmental protection, and the effective management of foreshore areas.

Present during the meeting were PRA General Manager and CEO Engr. Cesar S. Siador Jr.; Directors Mario Espinosa, Eligio T. Ildefonso, Fernando Siringan, and PEATC Director Jose N. Ferrer Jr.; Special Assistant to the Corporate Head Manuel Martin Escasura; Acting Department Manager for Environmental Management Ynna Margarita Yalong-Gelomina; and Board Secretary Mark Arthur M. Catabona. Representing DENR Region VII were Regional Executive Director Laudemir S. Salac, Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region VII Director John Edward Ang, and Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region VII Regional Director Al Emil G. Berador.

In a celebration led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) was among the 50 government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs) recognized during the GOCCs' Day last 08 July 2026.

Contributing a dividend remittance of ₱376.87 million, this recognition serves as proof of the agency's commitment to sound fiscal stewardship and support for national development.

In attendance during the celebration were PRA General Manager and CEO Engr. Cesar S. Siador Jr., PRA Director Eligio T. Ildefonso, PRA Director and PEA Tollway Corporation (PEATC) Chairperson Anthony Peter D. Crisologo, and PEATC President Delfin Torrecampo Jr.

GOCCs' Day recognizes the contribution of government corporations to national development through dividend remittances, which are a key source of non-tax revenue for the National Government.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) successfully concludes its 2026 Mid-Year Assessment

Throughout the three-day activity, units from the office of Reclamation and Regulation, Finance, Legal and Administrative Services with Special Projects and Joint Ventures, Marketing and Estates Management, Land Development, Construction Management, and Technical Services with Subsidiaries Development and Monitoring all reported on the status of their Performance Evaluation Scorecard (PES) Targets, progress on the General Manager's Directives, and core function accomplishments as of the second quarter of CY 2026.

Highlighting each unit's PES accomplishments for the second quarter, the agency is proud to report that it is halfway through achieving its strategic measures to regulate reclamation, create sustainable reclaimed land, promote coastal resilience, and develop government properties to advance the country's development goals.

With a renewed focus on the agency's goals, the PRA commits to delivering quality public service through sustainable environmental management for the benefit of the Filipino people.
