The Philippine Trade and Investment Centers (PTIC) in Japan proudly supported the successful business and investment program of the State Visit of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to Japan from 26โ29 May 2026, commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan diplomatic relations.
Through a series of high-level business engagements organized and facilitated by PTIC Tokyo, including the DTI-DOT Joint Business Roundtable Meeting, private business meetings with the President, strategic investment discussions, and partnership signings, Japanese companies and institutions announced approximately PHP 266.1 billion (USD 3.4 billion) in investment commitments, expansion plans, financing support, and pipeline opportunities. These initiatives have the potential to generate more than 32,440 direct and indirect jobs for Filipinos.
The engagements covered priority sectors including semiconductors, advanced electronics, manufacturing, shipbuilding, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, tourism, healthcare, agriculture technology, and urban development, reflecting continued Japanese confidence in the Philippine economy and the Marcos Administrationโs investment agenda.
