Taipei, Taiwan - As part of its integrated trade and investment promotion initiatives, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Taipei (PTIC-Taipei), in cooperation with Export marketing Bureau, and Manila Economic Cultural Office, supported the Philippines' participation at BIO AsiaโTaiwan 2026 on 16 July 2026, highlighting the countryโs growing capabilities in biotechnology, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, clinical research, artificial intelligence, and healthcare innovation.
The Philippine delegation including Manila HealthTek, PiVOT (PI Health), Harvest Integrated Research Organization (HiRO), NeuralMechanics, and PriMeDx, showcased the Philippinesโ bio and life sciences innovations at the Philippine Pavilion. PTIC-Taipei also facilitated business matching sessions, investor engagements, conference presentations, and strategic networking activities. These initiatives promote Philippine technologies and services, expand export opportunities, attract high-value investments, and strengthen technology, research, and commercial partnerships with Taiwan and the international biotechnology community.
The countryโs participation opened new opportunities to deepen PhilippinesโTaiwan collaboration in innovation-driven industry development, biotechnology commercialization, healthcare technologies, and research and development, while fostering partnerships with stakeholders across the global biotechnology ecosystem.
Through its active participation on these engagements, PTIC-Taipei continues to position the Philippines as an emerging hub for biotechnology and healthcare innovation by advancing technology transfer, commercialization, investment promotion, research collaboration, and sustainable industry growth.
