On August 5, 2026, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 3 (RACU 3), led by PMAJ Kenneth S. Bautista, Acting Chief, under the direct supervision of PCOL Miguel M. Guzman, Chief of RACU 3, conducted a Cybercrime Prevention and Awareness Symposium for Grade 12 students of Sta. Maria National High School in Minalin, Pampanga.

The symposium strengthened participants' awareness of prevailing cyber threats, particularly bomb threats and the illegal selling of financial accounts, while equipping them with practical knowledge to identify and prevent these unlawful activities.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized, "Empowering our youth through cybercrime awareness equips them with the knowledge to recognize online threats, make responsible decisions, and contribute to building a safer and more secure digital community."

On August 5, 2026, personnel of the Eastern District Anti-Cybercrime Team (EDACT), under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Herlyn Kristine P. Lazaro, Team Leader of EDACT, served as resource speakers during the School Security Awareness Lecture for School Safety and Security Officers held at PBM Hall, Pasig Elementary School, Pasig City.

The activity was attended by school principals, teachers, and School Safety and Security Officers from across Pasig City. The lecture focused on Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE), highlighting its online indicators, early warning signs, and preventive measures to protect schools from online radicalization. Cybercrime awareness flyers were also distributed to reinforce the discussion.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized, "Keeping our schools safe begins with awareness and preparedness. By equipping educators and school safety officers with the knowledge to recognize online threats and emerging risks, we strengthen our collective efforts to protect our learners and foster a secure learning environment."

Patuloy na pinatitibay ng PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) ang kampanya nito laban sa cybercrime matapos mahatulan ng kumbiksiyon ang pitong (7) indibiduwal dahil sa paglabag na iba't ibang cyber-enabled offenses sa buong buwan ng Hulyo ngayong taon.

Kabilang sa mga kasong ito ang apat (4) na kaso sa paglabag ng Republic Act No. 12010 o Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA) kaugnay ng Section 6 ng Republic Act No. 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, isang (1) kaso ng Grave Threat sa ilalim ng Article 282 ng Revised Penal Code kaugnay ng Section 6 ng RA No. 10175, isang (1) kaso sa paglabag ng Republic Act No. 11934 o SIM Registration Act kaugnay ng AFASA at Cybercrime Prevention Act, at isang (1) kaso na may dalawang (2) bilang ng paglabag sa Republic Act No. 11930 o Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act.

Ang mga kumbiksiyong ito ay bunga ng masusing imbestigasyon, mahusay na case build-up, digital forensic examination, cyber patrolling, at mahigpit na koordinasyon ng PNP ACG sa mga prosecutor at hukuman upang matiyak ang matagumpay na pag-uusig at pananagutan ng mga lumalabag ng batas sa cyberspace.

Alinsunod ito sa direktiba ni Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. na paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa cybercrime at tiyakin ang mabilis, epektibo, at makatarungang pagpapatupad ng batas sa cyberspace.

Samantala, binigyang-diin ni PNP ACG Director, Police Major General Wilson C. Asueta, na ang mga kumbiksiyong ito ay patunay ng dedikasyon ng PNP ACG sa paghahatid ng hustisya at pagpapanagot ng mga sangkot sa iba't ibang uri ng cybercrime.

"Ang mga kumbiksiyong ito ay patunay ng ating matatag na kampanya laban sa cybercrime. Patuloy naming hinihikayat ang publiko na agad iulat ang anumang uri ng cybercrime upang mapanagot ang mga lumalabag sa batas at mapanatiling ligtas ang cyberspace," pahayag ni PMGEN Asueta.

On August 5, 2026, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit Cordillera Administrative Region (RACU CAR), under the direct supervision of PCOL Rafmil De Lapaz Corpuz, Chief, RACU CAR, served as a resource speaker for the participants of the Criminal Investigation Course (CIC) at Maringal Hall, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The lecture enhanced participants' understanding of cybercrime, relevant cybercrime laws, and the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in criminal investigations, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to address emerging cyber threats through lawful and technology-driven investigative techniques.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized, "Continuous training equips our investigators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively address cyber threats and conduct technology-driven investigations in the digital age."

On August 3, 2026, personnel of the Catanduanes Provincial Cyber Response Team (CATPCRT), led by PCPT Angelo A. Babagay, Team Leader, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Gilbert E. Remo, Chief of RACU 5, together with personnel of the Police Community Affairs and Development (PCAD) and Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office (CATPPO), conducted a school visitation and cybersafety lecture for Grade 7 students of Calatagan High School in Virac, Catanduanes.

The lecture enhanced students' awareness of cybercrime prevention, cybersecurity, child protection, gender-based violence, and responsible digital citizenship. It also promoted the safe and ethical use of technology and informed participants of the proper reporting mechanisms for cyber-related incidents and offenses involving women and children.

Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized, "Educating our youth about cyber safety equips them to recognize online threats, make responsible decisions, and use technology wisely.
