Through the Board of Claims, Deputy City Prosecutor Marc Anito Camarines personally facilitated the release of financial assistance to a r**e survivor, reaffirming the government’s commitment to helping victims rebuild their lives and move forward with dignity and hope.
While no amount of assistance can erase the pain caused by such a traumatic experience, this support serves as a reminder that survivors are not alone. The justice system continues to work not only to hold offenders accountable but also to ensure that victims receive the assistance and care they deserve.
May this gesture provide encouragement and relief as the survivor continues the journey toward healing and recovery.

MOA Signing DOJ BOC X LANDBANK

On 25 May 2026, the Board of Claims formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) to establish a more efficient, secure, and accessible mechanism for the release of compensation benefits through direct crediting to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Under the agreement, qualified beneficiaries—including students, senior citizens, indigent applicants, and other eligible individuals without existing bank accounts—may open LANDBANK Regular ATM Savings Account free of charge, thereby ensuring easier and more convenient access to compensation benefits.

This initiative is aligned with Executive Order No. 170 which directs government agencies to adopt digital payment systems for government disbursements and collections. It likewise reinforces the commitment of the Department of Justice and the Board of Claims to transparency, efficiency, financial inclusion, and improved public service delivery.

This partnership further strengthens the efforts of the Board of Claims in providing timely, accessible, and citizen-centered assistance to victims and beneficiaries nationwide.

BOC X DSWD

The Board of Claims (BOC) conducted an orientation on the Victims Compensation Program under Republic Act No. 7309 for social workers from the Marillac Hills – National Training School for Girls (MH-NTSG), headed by Chief Eva N. Villegas, and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office, headed by Chief Maria Aquiliza M. Ongleo, on 13 May 2026.

The activity was attended by BOC officials SASP Jovyanne E. Santamaria, Chief for Operations, and SASP Anna Noreen T. Devanadera, Chief for Administration, who provided a comprehensive discussion on the application process, documentary requirements, and benefits available to qualified victims under the Victims Compensation Program.

The orientation served as a valuable platform for dialogue and collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment of the BOC and DSWD in ensuring that social workers efficiently assist the victims and that beneficiaries receive the compensation.
