Pormal nang nilagdaan ngayong araw ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) para simulan ang ๐•๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐ž-๐“๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ž ๐…๐ž๐ž๐ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐ž ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ (๐•๐…๐‚๐‚๐), isang inisyatiba na naglalayong paunlarin ang isang lokalisado at sustenableng feed production chain sa mga rural production clusters.

Sa ilalim ng VFCCP, ang mga kwalipikadong farmer cooperatives and associations (FCAs) ay bibigyan ng kinakailangang imprastraktura, makinarya, at teknikal na suporta upang maisagawa ang mga pangunahing gawain sa feed value chain, kabilang ang produksyon ng mais at forage, postharvest processing, feed milling, at paghahanda ng Total Mixed Ration (TMR).

Layunin din ng proyekto na palakasin ang partisipasyon ng mga magsasaka sa feed value chain at suportahan ang pagbuo ng value-added feed enterprises sa mga komunidad.

Ang inisyatibang ito ay isinagawa sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng National Livestock Program (NLP), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), at Office of the Undersecretary for Livestock (OUSL) bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng Kagawaran na palakasin ang livestock industry at food production system ng bansa.

Organized by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Swine and Poultry, led by Assistant Secretary Michael J. Garcia, the summit brings together industry players, government partners, and other stakeholders to exchange insights, address challenges, and explore opportunities for a stronger, more resilient, and sustainable Philippine swine industry.

Also present at the summit were Undersecretary Constante Palabrica and Assistant Secretary for Ruminant Livestock Benjamin C. Albarece, showing the Departmentโ€™s continued commitment to strengthening collaboration and supporting the livestock sector.
