Three days of fruitful learning, collaboration, and planning concluded at the Municipal Social Hall for the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Training (August 17–19, 2026).

The Area Coordinating Team extends its deepest gratitude to our Municipal Mayor, Atty. Melchor L. Mergal, for continuously championing community-driven development and disaster resilience.

Successfully conducted the 1st Barangay Resilience Team (BResT) Training today at Barangay Talangdawan, Salcedo, Eastern Samar under the Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP)!

Last July 29, 2026 marked the successful completion of our very first Barangay Assembly! Empowering communities for a more resilient future! 🌾💪

The Area Coordinating Team (ACT) and Municipal Coordinating Team (MCT) successfully conducted the Piloting of the FIRST BARANGAY ASSEMBLY at Barangay Abejao, Salcedo, Eastern Samar under the PCRP: Panahon ng Pagkilos!

Through active community-driven development, the residents and local volunteers of Barangay Abejao gathered to lay down the groundwork for local climate and disaster resilience. By mapping out risks, identifying vulnerabilities, and organizing community groups, the village is taking proactive steps to safeguard its future.

🏛️ Moving forward for a climate-resilient community!

The A/MCT have successfully conducted the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Organizational Meeting today. Through this collaborative effort, key stakeholders from local government units, community leaders, and partner agencies came together to lay the groundwork for our local resilience strategies.

This marks a pivotal first step toward institutionalizing inclusive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation planning in our municipality. Together, we are turning blueprints into action!
