Personnel of the Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS), under the leadership of SFO4 Neil P Siaron, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, in coordination with the Titay Municipal Police Station, DepEd, and LDRRMO, participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Safety Drill in Active Attack Incident held at Namnama Elementary School, Barangay Namnama, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The activity simulated an active shooter incident, allowing school personnel, responders, and partner agencies to practice immediate protective actions, emergency response, evacuation, coordination, and other appropriate measures to ensure the safety and protection of students, teachers, and other school personnel during an active attack.

The drill aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination and enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of all concerned stakeholders in addressing active attack incidents and other emergency situations.

๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’ || Titay MFS Shift B duty personnel received a report of a medical emergency at Dalangin, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay. The responding personnel were immediately dispatched and proceeded to the scene to provide the necessary medical assistance.
Upon arrival at the scene, the responding team found the patient already secured on a spine board, with a splint applied to the right leg by nearby residents. According to witnesses, the patient reportedly fell from an approximately 20-foot-high newly constructed building while performing welding work.
Initial assessment revealed a suspected fracture of the right leg. The patient also complained of pain in the right shoulder and was unable to raise or move the affected extremity. The patient was carefully carried and transferred to the ambulance for further assessment and transport to the hospital.
The patient was immediately transported to Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center for further medical evaluation and management.
Upon arrival at Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center, Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, the patient was properly endorsed to the attending medical staff on duty.

Siaron, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted fire safety inspection and monitoring of fuel retail establishments in Barangay Namnama, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The activity focused on compliance with fire safety requirements, emergency preparedness, and the availability of serviceable fire protection equipment to help prevent fire incidents and ensure prompt response.

PHYSICAL FITNESS ACTIVITY | PICKLEBALL

In line with its commitment to maintaining the physical fitness, health, and overall well-being of its personnel, the Titay Municipal Fire Station conducted a Physical Fitness Activity through Pickleball.

The activity served as an opportunity for personnel to improve their strength, agility, coordination, endurance, and physical readiness, which are essential in performing the demanding duties of a firefighter. It also promoted teamwork, camaraderie, stress management, and a healthy and active lifestyle among personnel.

Physical fitness is an essential part of firefighter readiness. Maintaining a healthy and physically capable workforce enables our personnel to respond effectively to emergencies, perform strenuous rescue and firefighting operations, and provide prompt and reliable service to the community.

๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’ || Upon arrival at the scene, the responding team conducted a primary assessment, including an evaluation of the patient's level of consciousness, presence of bleeding, and possible injuries. The patient was found lying on the road in a supine position. Assessment revealed that the patient sustained an abrasion on the right elbow and was complaining of pain in the back area.
Immediate first aid was provided to prevent further injury during transport, followed by the application of povidone-iodine (Betadine) to help prevent infection.
The patient was immediately transported to Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center for further medical evaluation and management.
Arrived at Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center, Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, where the patient was properly endorsed to the attending medical staff for further evaluation and management.
