The Philippine Embassy in Lisbon met with five Filipinos in São Tomé and Príncipe for a mobile voter registration activity for the 2028 Philippine National Elections, approved by COMELEC and supported by the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe. The visit also provided an opportunity for consular consultations and a “kumustahan” session with the Filipino community. Embassy officials addressed concerns on civil registration and reaffirmed commitment to bring services closer to Filipinos in remote locations. Community members welcomed the initiative, with one Filipino noting it was his first chance to register and participate in a Philippine election after more than 20 years abroad.
