Uma nova infraestrutura económica para o espaço lusófono”. Foi desta forma que a Confederação Empresarial da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CE-CPLP) apresentou, recentemente em Lisboa, o Fundo de Desenvolvimento e Cooperação Económica da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa.

Sob a liderança da sua Presidente, Dra. Nelma Fernandes, o Fundo procura mobilizar investimento, promover a diversificação económica e reforçar a cooperação no espaço lusófono.

A Austrália, enquanto Observador Associado da CPLP, congratula-se com esta visão e deseja os maiores sucessos à iniciativa.

O combate à violência baseada no género é uma prioridade partilhada pela Austrália e por São Tomé e Príncipe.

Esta nova campanha visa reforçar a prevenção, a sensibilização e o apoio às vítimas, através de uma abordagem culturalmente adequada e ajustada às realidades locais.

Sincere thanks to His Excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic, Dr. António José Seguro, for the kind invitation to a very special concert at the Marvão International Music Festival.

Conductor and artistic director of the Festival, Christoph Po**en, led the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, in the performance of works by composers Alice Yeung, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.

Staged in the ruins of the Roman City of Ammaia, the Festival once again celebrated music, heritage and the encounter between cultures.

Congratulations to the organizers for a truly memorable event.

From the Atlantic to the Pacific, peace matters 🕊

Portugal and Australia are both included in the Global Peace Index World's 20 most peaceful countries.

According to the latest Global Peace Index, Australia ranks as the 20th most peaceful country out of 163 states and territories evaluated worldwide 🕊️🌎

While we increased by 4 positions from last year, 99 countries slid backward – the highest number recorded since the index began almost two decades ago.

Ambassador Helen Cheney was honoured to meet Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão during a recent visit to Lisbon.

The “New Partnership for a New Era” (“Parseria” in Tetum) was signed by PMs Gusmão and Albanese earlier this year to include engagement on security cooperation, economic development, health, education and community ties.
