The start of the 2026 - 2027 school year is almost here! We hope everyone has had a great summer! As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we wanted to remind everyone of some important upcoming dates. You should have received the Spartan Spotlight via Final Forms email. There is a lot of important information in the Spotlight. Here are some upcoming dates you will want to remember.

Monday August 10th - Friday August 14th: Student parking passes can be purchased. Students may purchase a parking pass for $20. If they'd like to paint a parking spot, that cost is $75 and includes their parking pass. This also includes a $25 deposit that will be returned if the parking spot is returned to the condition it was found in. Painting parking spots can be done the week of August 10th. You must complete an application, submit it to the office and receive approval before you can begin painting. The application can be found using this link:

Tuesday August 11th at 4 pm: Popsicles with Principals
This is for parents and guardians to meet our administrative team and ask any questions you may have. The best part is enjoying a cool treat! Please use Door R; the administration team will be in the cafeteria.

Thursday August 13th and Friday August 14th: Schedule Pick Up
Students with last names beginning with A - K may pick up their schedules on Thursday from 8 am to 2 pm. Students with last names beginning with L - Z may pick up their schedules on Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. Final Forms must be completed by the parent and the student in order to pick up a schedule. Please use Door A for schedule pick up!

Wednesday August 19th: Connections Day
This is for all 7th graders. This will be a day for 7th graders to learn the building, their schedules and the expectations of our building.

Thursday August 20th: First day of school for grades 7 -12

This Saturday (July 18th) from 9 to noon, Springfield Cares will have their Back-to-School Backpack & School Supply Giveaway! They will be at Lakemore UMC (1536 Flickinger Rd). Students who live in or attend school in Lakemore/Springfield Twp. are eligible. A parent or guardian is required to be with the student.

We had 39 students take 3 different AP Exams. The AP Exams taken were AP Calculus, AP US History and AP English Language and Composition. Of those 39 students, 31 of them passed with a 3 or higher on the exam. For reference, a 3 is a passing score, earning our students' college credit. Congratulations to our 31 students! Also, congratulations to Mr. Graves, Ms. Jackson and Dr. Burgess, our 3 AP teachers on a job well done! These students should watch for a postcard from Mrs. Warner. Excellent work Spartans! 👏
